• Chemka Hot Spring - The journey to the hot springs takes approximately an hour and includes some travel over uneven terrain. The route initially passes through sugar cane fields, leading into the African scrubland. Along the way, dried riverbeds, baobab, and acacia trees are visible.

The Kikuletwa Hot Springs, also known as Chemka Hot Springs, are situated near the village of Rundugai and are among the most picturesque spots in Tanzania for relaxation. The small pond is encircled by palm and fig trees with twisting roots. In the morning, Blue Monkeys can often be seen in the trees, while the crystal-clear, turquoise water offers a refreshing swim. Although referred to as hot springs, the water in Kikuletwa is not truly ‘hot’ but rather warm and invigorating, as it is sourced from Kilimanjaro itself.
