The hike begins at Marangu Gate after registering at the park offices. Our guide will be on hand to provide any information you may need. It takes approximately 3 hours to trek to the first hut, Mandara Hut. Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking views of the three volcanic peaks: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira, as your guide explains their geology and surroundings. The return journey takes about 2 hours, allowing you to leisurely walk back to Marangu Gate and observe anything you might have missed on the ascent. A Moorland Safaris & Trekking vehicle will be ready to transport you back to your hotel in Arusha, with an expected arrival time of 19:00 hrs.
