Best waterfall hike with the BEST guide!! - Yusef was the BEST guide!! He took the time to get to know us and personalized our tour. It was very apparent he was very well respected and liked in the community. Our day spent with Yusef was our highlight of the trip. If you do the waterfall hike/coffee farm, be sure to ask Yusef about his flying skills.

Unmatched Hospitality, Breathtaking Views, and Deep Cultural Insight - This was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of our lives. Yusuf, our guide, went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly from start to finish. He kindly picked us up all the way from Moshi—hours away from the usual starting point—just to accommodate our plans.
Both Yusuf and Alexey are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. They patiently answered all our questions with depth and insight, adding so much value to the journey.
Yusuf took us to stunning hidden spots around Materuni Waterfalls and Chemka Hot Springs, where the views were simply breathtaking. One of the highlights was making fresh Arabica coffee with the Chaga people—a hands-on cultural experience we’ll never forget.
If you’re planning a trip to Arusha or Moshi, don’t think twice—Yusuf is your guy. His warmth, professionalism, and deep local knowledge will ensure you leave with memories that last a lifetime.

Get wet, get caffeinated, and get spoiled! - The 45 minute hike to the waterfall was quite an eye pleaser - along the way you can purchase fresh food such as passion fruit, avocado, and bananas, jam to tunes for Jambo Jambo, and make your way to the falls. The falls themselves are quite impressive given the background and run-off from Kilimanjaro. Returning to the village, you will participate in the coffee making process including dancing, grinding, and some roasting! I would strongly encourage this trip - lots of fun hanging out with locals. After coffee, lunch was a delicious spread of meats and vegetables - including plantains. I left there stuffed, caffeinated, and enjoyed my time there!!

A wonderful day in Materuni - A very nice day trip. The small hike from the parking lot to the waterfall is not too strenuous and the sight is beautifully uplifting. Also a bath in the cold water from the mountains of Kilimanjaro could not be missed. The coffee presentation in the village afterwards was also really fun. Very affectionate, funny and with singing is shown cultivation and processing of coffee. The whole thing was rounded off with a delicious and sumptuous lunch. The village community does this really nicely and celebrates hospitality in the best sense. And finally, our guide Yusef was always friendly, funny, attentive and attentive to our well-being. Thank you for the wonderful day, an absolute recommendation!

What a wonderfully trip with Serengeti Insider Safaris - What a wonderful trip! Our group of eleven had an unforgettable experience at Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, thanks to Serengeti Insider Safaris. From start to finish, everything was seamlessly planned, and we couldn't have asked for a better guide than Ayaan. He was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure we saw the Big 5, along with many other animals, while also sharing fascinating insights about their behaviors and habitats.
The lodges where we stayed were very comfortable, and the food was excellent. We had the choice between Tanzanian and European dishes, and everything was always fresh and tasty. The staff at the lodge were welcoming, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything we needed.
The entire safari was perfectly organized, and I always felt safe and well-guided throughout the trip. We had plenty of opportunities to take in the beauty of the wildlife and landscapes without feeling rushed.
I highly recommend Serengeti Insider Safaris to anyone looking for an authentic and well-executed safari experience. I’m already hoping to return one day with my others colleges!

From the stunning views at Materuni to the memorable coffee-making experience with the local Chagga community, every detail was perfectly organized. We couldn’t have asked for a better adventure in Tanzania. Highly recommend!
