Magnificent experience - We relied on Gift to organize the entire trip. He organized everything perfectly, from the reception at the airport to the end. We chose to do 6 days of safari visiting Tarangire, Serengeti, Ndutu and Ngorongoro crater. We were accompanied throughout the trip by our guide Asantael who allowed us to see many animals and all the big 5, answering all our questions and curiosities. For the night the accommodations were always comfortable and well organized, there was everything we could hope for and even more. We recommend Meru Slopes as a tour operator because from the beginning they were quick and precise in their responses and gave importance to our every request. Face-to-face saw the five of Africa; punctual, patient team; experience the ultimate - The company was very reliable and Kelvien was very helpful from the start of the trip planning; I contacted 10 or so travel agencies, and only Kelvien was willing to design an itinerary specifically for my idea; for example, I wanted to spend an extra day walking and seeing Kilimanjaro Mountain, as well as increasing the number of trips to Serval wildlife, taking into account the central Serengeti; he thought of me and suggested that I get off the plane and go to Casual walk on the first day, so that I could complete all my trips in seven days, unlike other travel agencies, which let me cut back on trips, or just more expensive plane trips; and with my overall budget limited, he was kind enough to let me book hotels that didn't go into the prairie a little bit worse, in line with my budget; not to mention what’s up everyday, always online and super quick to reply, and because I’m a family of three, two adults and a 5-year-old, and every one of his hotels is guaranteed a separate bed at no extra charge; every hotel except for the hotel on the first night to save money is great; and, it’s Jackson, our guide on the five-day Safari, which is amazing and drives very well and steady; knowing the animals, we saw the top five Africans face-to-face, especially the Black Rhino family (who was the first to find) and the Leopard, and a male lion walking by my window (who found it) within reach. It was amazing and so important that he had a good location, so he also took care of the kids, so he adjusted my lunch schedule and took my son for a long afternoon nap, and hiked along with him; and we told everyone else that we needed to send us a letter on time, and that we knew we needed to be happy.

A Perfect Choice for Our First Safari Adventure - At this moment, I am back home with a joyful heart, ready to pen down this heartfelt review for our 6-Day Big Five Mid-Range Safari to Tanzania. Before our trip, we compared several tour companies on Safaribookings and finally chose Meru Slope. Looking back, selecting Meru Slope as our guide for our first African safari was the best decision we could have made. From the beginning, Manager Almachius made us feel at ease with his timely responses on WhatsApp, answering all our questions. Upon our arrival, he personally greeted us at the hotel, thoroughly explaining the itinerary. On the last day of our journey, Almachius came to the hotel to see us off, which deeply touched us. This personal warmth made us feel like we had a true friend in Tanzania, not just a service provider. Our safari guide, Mr. Florian, was incredibly patient, professional, and friendly. With his extensive knowledge of safari wildlife and excellent driving skills, he accompanied us on our four-day safari. Thanks to his experience, we spotted the Big Five on the vast plains of the Serengeti and captured many breathtaking moments. By the way, Florian has an amazing Samsung phone that takes much clearer photos than iPhones—so much so that I borrowed it to take some pictures! Florian also answered all our questions about the safari with great expertise. Moreover, he was thoughtful enough to remember our favorite vegetables, ensuring that every picnic was filled with fresh and delicious meals. A special shout-out goes to the warm, friendly, and energetic Victor, who waited two hours to pick us up at the airport on the first day. Despite the delay, he greeted us with a big smile, played great music in the car, and kept us entertained with his fun questions. His enthusiasm for his work was contagious. On the last day, Victor took us to Moshi Town, where we admired the pristine beauty of Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak. He also introduced us to Tanzania’s hidden treasure—a dreamy natural blue forest pool. There, we even enjoyed a unique fish massage, which truly made our day! Every day, the accommodations and meals were excellent. We especially loved Arusha Planet Lodge and Embalakai Ngorongoro Camp. The former felt like a garden retreat in Bali, while the latter, situated between a Maasai village and an acacia forest, offered both cultural richness and breathtaking wildlife views. We spotted groups of giraffes surrounding the campground and that was a legit Alice wonderland. The staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms were spotless, and the location was simply magical. We wish we could have stayed there longer! Finally, a huge thank you to Victor, Florian, and Almachius for making our Tanzanian journey unforgettable. From the very beginning managing the tour in a 100% personalized way with Almachius and accompanied at all times by the guide and driver Swalehe, who provides great security thanks to his skills behind the wheel, knowledge of mechanics and biology; not to mention Gidion our cook and assistant throughout the trip, the most friendly person in Tanzania. They have really made this tour an unforgettable experience. I was able to take some spectacular photos and we saw the big 5 in a comfortable and reliable car.

Save Some Time, Book with Meru. Fantastic Experience from End to End. - We had a wonderful experience with Meru Slopes on our 6-day safari. We did the "migration route" camping safari. Jerome had very professional communication and laid out the tour options very clearly for us. He was always timely in his responses too and answered all of our questions. Our driving guide was Robert, and we have nothing but fantastic reviews for him. He went to school for wildlife studies in Kenya and has been a guide for 12+ years. We were often the first jeep to spot many animals, and he was keenly tuned into the radio with his network of friends. We didn't appreciate how important this was because his friends would alert him of new sightings, and we would zip across the park to maximize wildlife sightings on each day. He was very knowledgeable, spoke great English, and did a wonderful job overall. Would ask for him specifically if we did another tour. Our cook Gideon was also fantastic! We had wonderful breakfasts, hot lunches, and wonderful dinners every day. Thank you Gideon! We liked the itinerary with Meru because we had three nights camping and a couple nights in a lodge, and they also cover lodging the first night and last night in Arusha. So, the all-in price includes lodging for 7 nights and has 6 days of safari. Other operators said it was a six day tour, but those six days included the first day you land in Arusha with no safari on that day. Pay attention to this when booking! Or just save some time and book with Meru. 5/5 star, locally owned operator. Thank you Meru!
