7-Day Camping Safari – Our Family's Life-Changing Experience! - We (husband and wife and two boys) did this 7-day camping safari with African Overland, and it was the most memorable trip our family has ever had. Started in Tarangire - the children screamed at the sight of the elephant herd, set up camp under the baobab tree, and slept at night counting the stars in the sky. Then 3 days in the Serengeti - driving through the Wildebeest Migration, Lion Pride lying nearby, and waking up one morning to see elephants and giraffes roaming the campground - the children's eyes lit up! Guide Elibariki Simon was a prodigy - telling simple animal stories for children, giving safety tips, and listening to Maasai songs on the campfire at night. The tents at the camping sites are cozy, cooked food (fresh grills, veggie stew, pancakes) loved by all. At the end of the Ngorongoro Crater - while descending in the fog, seeing the pool of hippos and rhinos, I felt like I was in a dream. For those who want a real bush experience with the family, this tour of the African Overland is perfect. 5 stars - thank you to Elibariki and the team!
