Best honeymoon thanks to Meru slopes, Jacob & Kelvin! - We planned our honeymoon with Meru slopes and it was all we ever wished for! The 7 days safari (calving season) were perfect, thanks to our private guide Jacob, who was funny, thoughtful and very professional. He showed us all possible animals and took his job very seriously. Afterwards we did a 4 days trekking to Mount Meru. This was much less luxurious of course (as is normal in the mountains), but nevertheless amazing! Any inconvenience was kindly and professionally handled by Kelvin, which we really appreciate! Would recommend this company for taking care of your honeymoon!

Honeymoon safari! - Our safari was nothing short of amazing!! We booked this trip with the help of Jerome for our honeymoon! He was very quick to respond to any questions/concerns and gave us detailed itinerary! He made the booking process very easy. Then the safari itself was nothing short of a once in a lifetime experience. We had Florian as a driver and it’s very clear he is very experienced. He knew got us around safely and was incredible at spotting animals! He got us as close as possible to so many amazing animals. He also had to traverse some difficult roads due to some rain we experienced and did it expertly. We got to see SO many more animals than I ever thought we would which was a dream come true! All our accommodations were great! Even better than expected to be honest. The staff was spectacular at each place and the locations of the accommodations were amazing! The food was good but by the end it was a little repetitive. But there were always vegetarian and meat options and every hotel asked about any food allergies upon arrival. The portions were always more than enough! We often could not finish the packed lunches, which is not a bad problem to have! Oh and we also booked the hot air balloon ride and it was INCREDIBLE!!! Absolutely a must add onto your itinerary worth every penny! Overall if you are thinking of booking this trip DO IT! It was amazing and I wish I could do it all over again!

Amazing private camping safari for a budget - Meru Slopes offers very good value-for-your-money safaris in the national parks of Tanzania's Northern Circuit. We are very happy that we have chosen them for our tour and would definitely recommend this company. Shout out to our cook Dulla, who accompanied us on our trip and prepared the most amazing food (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian) even on the campsites in the remote areas. We didn't envy the people with the packed lunch boxes of their lodges on the picnic sites of the national parks, our food seemed much more delicious. Thank you, Dulla! We booked a private individual 7 Days / 8 nights camping tour. Gift Tembo put together a programme exactly fulfilling our wishes: visiting Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara NP, Ngorongoro Crater, a stop to the Olduvai Gorge Museum on the way and 3.5 days in Serengeti NP including the Great Migration at Mara River in the north (it was absolutely worth to visit the northern part of Serengeti with very few vehicles and lots of animals, on the other hand we were shocked by the sheer amount of people at Mara river, most of them arriving by plane to see the river crossing only). We were very grateful that Gift organized this tour for us, while other companies claimed that it is too far to go to Mara River or not the right season for it (in August you might not have the very big herds anymore, but still lots of animals crossing). Compared to other companies, the price was really cheap. We got a private tour for 2 persons for the same price that you often pay for a fixed-schedule group tour of 6 people. We are very happy that we decided for the private tour, since we could stop at any time when we wanted to have a closer look and take pictures and had lots of space in the car for our stuff and to move around to look out in all directions. Our driver and guide Stanley was very experienced and knowledgable with all the animals. It was important to communicate to him that we want to see all kinds of animals including birds and not just the Big 5 as most other tourists, so he would also stop for them. A word of advice, the campsites are quite basic. It gets really cold during the night (especially at Ngorongoro Crater), so it is worth to bring an extra sleeping bag (also if you have high hygienic standards). Also, don't forget your headlamp, toilet paper, power bank. The electricity might not be working on the campsite. Also be sure to properly check the quote for your tour and highlight any individual wishes (maybe more than once). We had a miscommunication and in the end there was no night safari included in our tour, although we had specifically asked for it in the beginning.
