Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - Following breakfast, the tour sets off. The journey proceeds to Tarangire National Park for a game drive, complete with a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and majestic baobab trees. It is central to an annual migration cycle that includes up to 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras. Later, travel to Twiga Campsite.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - After an early breakfast, the descent into the crater begins, offering a chance to observe wildlife. With a consistent water supply and ample fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area supports a wide range of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. A major attraction of this scenic national park is its dense population of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which may require a trained eye to spot. A visit to Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, is included. This lake is a key feature of the crater, often hosting numerous flamingos, hippos, and other water birds. In the late afternoon, return to Twiga Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Lake Manyara National Park - After breakfast, the tour departs for a safari, heading to Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara National Park boasts stunning views and a diverse range of habitats, including acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab-strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps, and the lake itself. This small park supports a vast array of animal species and remarkable birdlife. Manyara is home to the world’s largest concentration of baboons, and its lions are famous for their tree-climbing abilities.
