• Church of the Holy Sepulchre - This is the site of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. It is the most significant Christian site and one of the first four official Christian churches in the world, built by Saint Helena in 335 A.D.
• Western Wall - The most sacred site for Judaism. The wall surrounded the Temple Mount, where the first and second Jewish temples stood. The first was destroyed in 586 B.C. by the Babylonian Army, and the second in 70 A.D. by the Romans. Thus, the Western Wall is the holiest remnant for Jewish people worldwide. The destruction of Jerusalem was foretold by Jesus as described in Luke 19:42-44.
• The Way of the Cross - Via Dolorosa - Visitors can see the section from the 5th station leading to the Church.
• Mount Zion - According to tradition, this is the location of the Last Supper, famously depicted by Leonardo Da Vinci in his fresco in Milan. After this supper with his disciples, Jesus was betrayed, arrested, and crucified.
• Garden of Gethsemane - Ancient olive trees remain from those that once covered the Mount of Olives in Jesus’ time. This is the site symbolizing betrayal and where Jesus was arrested.
• Church of the Nativity - The birthplace of Jesus in Bethlehem, Judea. The beautiful church of Justinian from the 6th century stands at the manger site.
