A Trip of Wonder to Open the World of Hiking for Grandmother and Granddaughter - I booked a private trip for myself and my 9-year old granddaughter for a hike which included one overnight. Blue Ridge Hiking made sure they understood our goals for the trip and designed the perfect trip for us, including an incredibly well-suited guide for our goals of learning, adventure and fun. Our guide taught us hiking/camping best practices and gear. In addition, she was was very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna which made the trip so special for my curious granddaughter. Our guide provided an experience that left my granddaughter - and me - eager for our next hike. Exactly what I had hoped!
In terms of administration, BRH was easy to work with, responsive and patient with my questions during trip setup, and did a great job with trip follow up as well.

Hiking with friends - We had a wonderful full day hike in Hot Springs, NC. The views were beautiful. Our guide, Bev, provided excellent service. She was organized and professional and such a nice person. We really connected with her and she made the day fun! I would definitely use this company again for hiking trips in the area and will recommend them and Bev to friends.

A day on the AT - Our guide for the day was Bev MacDowell. She selected two great hikes both with stunning views and an abundance of wild flowers. Bev’s enthusiasm and love of nature was contagious and made for the perfect day. I highly recommend Blue Ridge hiking company!

Another great Blue Ridge Hiking Co trip! - Another fabulous trip with Blue Ridge Hiking Co! They always tailor my trips to my interests and the guides are fantastic. I would highly recommend Jenna Carrol and Kacie Ross! Fabulous women who really know the area, the secret waterfalls, amazing views, and always come prepared with great lunches and tasty snacks!

Black Balsam, Tennent Knobs, Investor Gap Loop, and Graveyard Fields - This was hands down the best day of my trip to Asheville! We had beautiful weather and the views were awe inspiring. I even got teary eyed at one point as the Blue Ridge Mountain horizon is humbling.
My tour guide, Bev was A- MAZING!!! She picked the perfect hikes for my fitness level and desire to still see the views. It was just the right amount of strenuous without overdoing it. She was incredibly knowledgeable and fun to hike with and was very thoughtful by bringing a gf, df lunch which she allowed me to select. She also had many snacks for me that I liked and could eat. I carpooled with Bev to save on the cost which was very accommodating. I would not hesitate to use this tour company and guide again. You’ll be in good hands and cannot go wrong!

Amazing hiking experience - My husband and I had the most amazing experience hiking the Blue Ridge Mountain trail up to the Alum Cave Bluff with our wonderful guide Bev. It was a challenging hike but with Bev’s knowledge of the trail and great conversation it didn’t seem as difficult as it probably was. So many beautiful vistas of the surround mountains and valleys, lush rhododendron stands, boulder field streams, natural bridges and archways. The leaves were just beginning to show color.
I highly recommend the Blue Ridge Hiking Company and our guide, Bev, for any guided walking tour in the area!

A professional company and a warm and personable guide. - This is our second series of trips with Blue Ridge Hiking. We did two full day hikes, and 1/2 day hike. Mel was our guide for all three. The logistics up until we arrived at BRHC were great. The company is very transparent and sent out great questions in order to plan our hikes. We had Mel as our guide for all three days. Everything Mel had planned was great. She was very flexible about what we wanted to do. The scenery, of course, was gorgeous. We took a lot of great pictures. Every lunch was great and we appreciated that charcuterie board on our half day hike. Can’t say enough good stuff about our guide. She was perfect!

Best of Private Hikes with Blue Ridge Hiking Company - We had 5 days of Full Day hikes with our private guides - Hannah Brock (3 days) and Tamera Trexler (2 Days). They were both truly excellent. Contacted 1 week prior to our arrival to discuss our likes and dislikes - I have fear of heights and allergy to bee stings. They both are avid hikers and very familiar with the trails. Hannah scouted the Mount Mitchell hike condition in advance to make sure I would be able to handle. Tamera is very knowledgeable re. Plants and flowers. All the hikes were very beautiful and suited to our difficulty level. We even saw some elk and a black bear with Tamera. They never rushed us, took appropriate rest and lunch times. They stopped at view points for pictures too. Lunch was selected to our requests. Tamera brought a bunch of snack and other goodies from Trader Joe’s which we enjoyed.
The Blue Ridge staffs were very nice and customer service oriented. Melissa our private trip coordinator recommended our two best guides., very prompt and detailed, her suggestion that we stayed in Asheville instead of 15 minutes away in the mountains were right on. Asheville is such an amazing town - great restaurants and shopping. They were very understanding and supportive when we had to change our trip times due to unforeseen circumstances.
Blue Ridge Hiking company showed us an amazing time hiking in North Caroline.
