(Optional) Abu Simbel - Sail to Kom Ombo
Abu Simbel Temple Complex - At around 4:30 AM, your driver will pick you up for a private tour to Abu Simbel (optional). Arrive around 8 AM to explore one of Egypt’s most impressive sites. Abu Simbel is renowned for its two massive rock temples built during Pharaoh Ramses II’s reign in the 13th century BCE. These temples are among ancient Egypt’s most remarkable monuments, known for their grand scale and intricate carvings. Marvel at their architecture and carvings. Return to the cruise by noon for lunch and sail towards Kom Ombo city, continuing to Edfu for an overnight stay.
Temple of Kom Ombo - In the afternoon, join your Egyptologist tour guide to visit the remarkable Temple of Kom Ombo, where the gods Sobek and Haroeris were worshipped. Return to your ship and enjoy lunch on the sun deck, taking in the unique landscape of the Nile River. In the afternoon, enjoy a chariot ride to the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples. After the tour, return to your ship for relaxation. Dinner will be served on board, followed by an Egyptian Folkloric Show party hosted by the staff.
