Aswan High Dam - Start your tour with a visit to the High Dam, built in the 1960s to protect Egypt from flooding and to generate electricity. The Aswan High Dam, one of the largest embankment dams globally, spans the Nile in Aswan, Egypt. Constructed between 1960 and 1970, it was the tallest earthen dam in the world at its completion, surpassing the Chatuge Dam in the United States.

Temple of Philae - Board a small motorboat to visit the Graeco-Roman Temple dedicated to the goddess Isis. Afterward, return to your cruise for dinner, a folkloric show, and an overnight stay.

Abu Simbel Temples and Kom Ombo Temple

Abu Simbel Temple Complex - Situated in southern Egypt, near the Sudanese border, the Abu Simbel Temples were originally carved out of the mountainside during Pharaoh Ramesses II’s reign in the 13th century BCE. These temples were built to honor Ramesses II and his queen, Nefertari, and to showcase the power and grandeur of his reign. The larger temple is dedicated to the gods Amun, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah, as well as the deified Ramesses himself, while the smaller temple is dedicated to the goddess Hathor and Queen Nefertari. One of the most remarkable features of the Abu Simbel Temples is the bi-annual solar alignment phenomenon, where the rising sun illuminates the inner sanctum of the Great Temple, highlighting the statues of the gods seated inside.

Temple of Kom Ombo - Located on a picturesque bend of the Nile River, the Kom Ombo Temple is unique in its dedication to two different gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon-headed god. This dual dedication is reflected in the temple’s symmetrical design, with duplicate courts, halls, and sanctuaries. Built during the Ptolemaic dynasty between 180 and 47 BCE, the temple was also used in later periods by the Romans. Notably, Kom Ombo features well-preserved reliefs and carvings that provide insight into ancient Egyptian religion and medicine, including depictions of surgical instruments and medical procedures. The nearby Crocodile Museum showcases crocodile mummies and artifacts related to the worship of Sobek, adding another layer of interest to this unique site.

Visit Edfu Temple, then proceed to Luxor and explore Luxor Temple.

Temple of Horus - After breakfast, enjoy a horse carriage ride with your tour guide to visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, renowned as the most complete and best-preserved temple in Egypt. Afterward, return to the cruise and relax on deck, taking in the unique landscape and beautiful scenery of the Nile River as you sail towards Luxor. Cross the Esna Lock and have lunch on board. In the afternoon, savor tea on the sundeck.

Luxor Temple - Late in the afternoon, arrive at your cruise dock and transfer to the Luxor Temple on the East Bank of Luxor. Here, you will explore the blend of ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic features. Enjoy dinner on board, followed by a belly dancing show. Overnight stay in Luxor. Note: If you arrive at the Luxor dock by 3:00 or 3:30 PM, there will be time to visit both the Karnak and Luxor Temples.

Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, which stand at the front of the ruined Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III, the largest temple in the Theban Necropolis.

There, you’ll explore the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs of the New Kingdom carved their tombs into the mountains, seeking to safeguard their treasures and protect their mummies.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Explore the Mortuary Temple of the renowned Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari, where you’ll uncover the beauty of her temple and the intriguing story of her reign alongside her nephew. Conclude your West Bank tour with a photo opportunity in front of the towering statues of Memnon. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (optional).

Temple of Karnak - Return to the East Bank to visit the magnificent Karnak Temple, which was constructed over a span of 2000 years and spans approximately 63 acres. Capture stunning photos amidst its colossal pillars and obelisks. Afterwards, proceed to Luxor Hotel, the Airport, or Railway station (around 3:00 to 4:00 pm).
