Amazing experience - I travel a lot and yet I was super impressed by this company! I felt very taken care of and the places we visited were one the most beautiful in the world. Our tour guide Jon was amazing. He knew so much and you could see it’s his real passion. He also speaks excellent English. I particularly valued the punctuality! We were always the first ones to enter the temples and it’s super important because they get really crowded later on. I’d definitely chose them again and recommend 100%!

An unforgettable experience on the Nile: passion, punctuality and exclusivity - We took a 4 day private trip on the Nile and I can not be more grateful to this company. From the beginning, the organization was impeccable. We visit places that leave you speechless, like the temples of Aswan, Luxor, the impressive Abu Simbel and close with a balloon flight at dawn that was simply magical. What really lifted our experience was the human and professional quality of our guides, Jon and Sam. Not only do they have a deep knowledge about this age-old culture, they transmit it with a passion and affection that infect you. You can tell they love their work and that makes every explanation come alive. Another key point was logistics and punctuality. They go to great lengths to adapt to your personal interests and, most importantly, make sure to get to the temples before large groups of tourists. Thanks to that foresight, we were able to enjoy the monuments with a tranquility and a connection that would otherwise have been impossible. If you’re looking for a trip where details are taken care of, your pace respected and you’re accompanied by top professionals, look no further. Thank you Jon and Sam for making us feel this culture in such a special way!

4 day Nile cruise - Tour guide gave excellent recommendations, advice, historical information. He was extremely well organized and very personable. We saw so.much with him plus he made sure we had adequate time to explore by ourselves. The accomadations and food were great.

Upper Egypt in December - We had a wonderful trip from Aswan to Luxor. The program is quite demanding, especially since there were some delays at the lock on the third day and therefore all the sights in Luxor had to be seen in one day. Our tour guide Mohamed designed every stop great, reacted flexibly to changes in the program and really knew a lot. Even if the price is a bit steep, we can recommend the tour!

Awesome Cruise and Tour Guides - Incredible experience! I was a little skeptical at first of how nice the boat would be, the food, etc. but it exceeded all of my expectations. The boat we were on truly had 5 star service. Everyone was exceptionally kind and thoughtful. The food was also great! The days can be kind of busy seeing all of the temples but it’s a good blend on the 4 day cruise. Not too much in one day and not too little where you are sitting on the boat doing nothing most of the day. It was also so nice having a tour guide. We got lucky with our tour guide George, he was the absolute best part of our trip. We always felt safe and he taught us so much about Egyptian mythology etc. I honestly can’t imagine what it would have been like without a tour guide to help you visit all of these locations. I feel like it would be extremely overwhelming and you would have many concerns with getting scammed on prices etc. and not to mention you would miss out on a lot of learning about the temples and Egyptians! Overall - excellent trip experience and thank you especially to our tour guide, George.

Thank you for this stay - Thank you to Michael for this great experience! Michael was in the care during these 4 days and did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the ultra Deluxe nile cruise when we took the standard option. The crew was great, the room spacious and we ate very well, thank you very much!

EXCELLENT! - I would highly recommend Journey to Egypt for this trip. We were assigned with John, as our private guide for the four days. I couldn’t speak more highly of John, how friendly he is, and his knowledge. He explained so much to us about all of the different temples that we saw, in Luxor, and also in Aswan. Any time that we had any questions, John was incredibly professional and helpful. I would definitely say that John was very eager to help, and we are sad that we don’t have his company for the rest of our trip! Overall was an excellent trip, Egypt has felt like a wonderfully safe and pleasant place to visit so far.

Exceptional guide, amazing trip! - I had a wonderful experience with Journey to Egypt travel agency from start to finish. Marina, my agent, was extremely helpful and informative—she guided me through planning our trip and selecting the right Nile cruise. The payment process was smooth and convenient, especially with the option for our group of four to pay separately. We chose the MS Hamees from the Movenpick line. The cruise itself was very nice, and what truly stood out was the staff and the food. Every meal offered a wide variety and was different from the last—consistently excellent. The only downside was that, at times, the smell of gasoline was noticeable when multiple cruises were docked side by side. The highlight of our entire journey, however, was our tour leader, John. Without exaggeration, he is one of the best guides I’ve ever had. John was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. His time management was flawless—he would share background information during our car rides, then provide detailed explanations at each site while also giving us enough free time for photos and exploration. Beyond guiding, he went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. He checked in on our rooms, arranged for a late checkout, and even made sure we were properly taken care of when dropped off at the airport. Thanks to his efforts, our experience was not only memorable but truly stress-free. I highly recommend Journey to Egypt, and if you have the chance to travel with John as your guide, you’re in for an exceptional experience.

Great cruise! Excellent tour leader - We were very happy with our cruise, MS- Hamees. The cruise was very clean, staff were super helpful and food was amazing! Our tour leader, John, was excellent ! He was very knowledgeable, organized, helpful and kind. He made our journey very smooth and enjoyable despite the hot weather in September.
