- Philae - This temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, represents the last of the classical Egyptian architectural style. Construction began around 690 BC, marking one of the final places of worship for the goddess.
- Unfinished Obelisk - Located in the granite quarries of Aswan, the Unfinished Obelisk is a testament to the red granite used in ancient temples and statues. It remains in place due to a crack discovered during its carving. A knowledgeable Egyptologist guide will describe the process of carving the 1-tonne obelisk and explain why it was left incomplete.
- Abu Simbel Temple Complex - Carved into the mountain on the Nile’s west bank between 1274 and 1244 BC, the two temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari are marvels of ancient architecture. The Great Temple honors Ramses II, Ra-Harakhty, Amun Ra, and Ptah with four colossal statues, while the second temple is dedicated to Queen Nefertari and Goddess Hathor. These temples were meticulously relocated stone by stone to higher ground, a monumental achievement by UNESCO. Enjoy lunch in Aswan before returning to the hotel in Hurghada.
