Fab Nubian Village Experience - Booked a Felucca + Nubian Village visit. Got a first hand view of the culture of Nubian people. Visited a Nubian house, got to hold a baby Nile croc! They were welcoming and treated us to ethnic bread, cheese, sweet delicacy tea and most importantly authentic Nubian warmth. Struck some brilliant deals by helping the hell out on a few items of shopping. The only disappointing (especially for my daughter) part was the lack of wind hence the Felucca sails weren't unfurled. I missed the parts where we picked some exotic spices n teas (not found even in India!) and the nice lil camel ride. And not to forget the bit of frolick in the Nubian golden sand. The overall excursion was very well managed by Ahmed Saied - he was lovely n patient. Overall fab experience for the full family!

Brilliant guide on good tour - The tour was brilliant, and mainly because of our brilliant guide - Ahmed Saied. He was very friendly, and brimming with knowledge about the local area and culture.

Fun activity that had it all! - This trip was fantastic. I would say one of the best times I've had in Egypt so far. And Ashraf was a big part of the reason. Very calm and didn't try to sell us anything. When we went to tip him, at first he declined and we needed to force him. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. It was a great way of doing something fun in a relaxing way.

We had a good visit to the Nubian visit and the felucca ride was relaxing as well. - We enjoyed the felucca ride but there was only two of us and it was private so it was only about 45 minutes which was fine as there wasn’t too much to see but definitely glad we did it and nice it was private. We also went to the Nubian village and saw the “doctor” who wasn’t a doctor but had a shop with spices and teas and such so if you go do expect to buy something but it was fun as he gave us samples. You can skip that as well as Mido asked if we wanted to go to that or the perfume shop. We did not do the perfume shop. We had some hibiscus tea at a Nubian house which was nice. The crocodiles were sad to see as they were in small cages with basically no water but it is what it is. Mido was very very nice and a great guide. I would do it again!

A Perfect Day in Aswan with Mido on the Nile - We had a fantastic day in Aswan with Mido. From the beginning he was warm, friendly and really took good care of us. He took us on a beautiful felucca ride along the Nile, which was peaceful and relaxing, and he showed us different sides of the river while sharing interesting stories about the area. One of the highlights was visiting a Nubian village. Mido took us into a Nubian house so we could see how people live, and then we walked through the local market of the village, which felt very authentic and lively. After that we met a local “doctor” who introduced us to traditional spices and condiments. It was such a unique and memorable experience, and you could really feel the local culture. Later he also took us to a local oil essence shop where we learned about Egyptian perfumes and natural oils. Overall it was a wonderful experience. Mido was attentive, and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our time and would happily recommend him to anyone visiting Aswan.

Tour of Aswan and the Nubian village - Salah and his team gave us the best experience in Egypt—honest, authentic, and just amazing. We had a private felucca and motorboat all to ourselves, and they even brought us back to our guest house. Mo was so kind and made sure we got the most out of everything. He happily explained the history and culture of the Nubian people, which made the experience even more interesting. I feel way more knowledgeable now and honestly couldn’t recommend him more!

Amazing day on the felucca and Nubian village - We had the most amazing day with our guide, Mohammed Salah. We enjoyed a private felucca and motorboat all to ourselves, which even brought us back to our hotel instead of the ferry port. Mo was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and he made sure we got the absolute most out of our experience.

I booked a package that... - I booked a package that included a driver, a private tour guide, and entrance tickets. Unfortunately, only the driver showed up. He was kind and polite, but he did not speak English, which made communication very difficult throughout the trip. Additionally, we were asked to pay for the entrance tickets ourselves, even though they were supposed to be included in the package. Communication with the tour operator was very poor. There was no confirmation message or WhatsApp communication before the trip. Our pickup was scheduled for 4:30 AM, but the driver arrived 20 minutes late, and we had no idea whether anyone was coming. I tried contacting the company days before and same day through multiple channels, including their WhatsApp number, but received no response. Overall, the lack of organization and communication made the experience stressful and disappointing.

Disappointing finish to holiday - We were really looking forward to this trip to finish off our trip to Egypt - I had read some brilliant reviews about the Felucca at sunset and how lovely the Nubian village was - unfortunately this was not the case for us - advertised as a 4 hour trip - we chose a 3pm start to ensure a good sunset - it didn’t start well as the guide was 30 minutes late (apparently couldn’t find our boat) though we thought these things happen - we were then shown to a motor boat - not a Felucca - we were told it was too windy so would go to the village by this way and if wind dropped we would come back by Felucca - so we got in the boat and off we set - what a big disappointment - the engine of the boat was so noisy we could not hear what the guide was saying or even have a conversation to each other - the driver of the boat was on his phone a llot of the journey / it was such a shame as it was beautiful views but we were unable to appreciate the surroundings. I believe the driver and guide realised we were not happy and showed us a text offering us a Felucca trip for an additional 10 or 20 euros depending how whether 1 hour or 2 hours were also shown We arrived at the village - well what a disappointment - this was just one big area of market stalls - we were shown inside one of the houses and given a drink but nothing was really explained about their culture. We then wandered around the stalls for a while before getting back on the motor boat - the journey back was through the other side of the islands - do many birds about but could not hear them due to the very noisy engine - as we had shown our disappointment we were taken to a Felucca on the return where we boarded this and watched the set up and then had 25 minutes sailing - (this was the best part the trip - but 25 minutes out of a supposedly 4 hour trip !!!) Our trip finished at 6pm - 2.5 hours not 4 - and before the real sunset - really sad to have to write this as we have done many Viator trips over the years and recommended the company .
