Ait Ben Haddou - The tour begins at 7:00 am, departing from Marrakech and traversing the Atlas Mountains via the breathtaking Tizi N’Tichka pass (2260m). There will be numerous opportunities to capture stunning panoramic views. The journey continues to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a historic hub and trading post renowned for its appearances in numerous Hollywood films. Visitors will have time to explore this landmark before stopping for lunch.
Ouarzazate - After lunch, the tour proceeds along the road of 1000 Kasbahs to the ancient town of Ouarzazate. Known as Morocco’s Hollywood, this town frequently hosts filmmakers who set up in its expansive desert crossroads, lined with wide, palm-fringed boulevards.
Dades Gorges - The day concludes with an overnight stay in the Dades Valley, where guests can savor a traditional Moroccan dinner and breakfast.
Dades Valley-Todgha Gorge-Erfoud-Merzouga
Todgha Gorge - Following breakfast, the tour heads to Todgha Gorge, a striking canyon in the eastern High Atlas Mountains. Guests can stroll through the oasis, explore the ruins of old villages, and visit a Berber women’s handcraft association. This is an opportunity to learn from locals and experience daily life in a typical Berber village. Lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant.
Merzouga Desert - The journey continues to the vast dunes of Merzouga, where guests can embark on a memorable camel ride at sunset towards Erg Chebbi, leading to an evening camping experience in the desert. The night is filled with a traditional Berber dinner and musical performances by local nomads under the stars. In the heart of the desert, surrounded by dunes, guests will have the perfect setting to admire a sky full of stars, along with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.
Merzouga-Marrakech
Marrakesh - An early rise allows guests to witness the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, a highlight of any Sahara visit, followed by breakfast in the Merzouga bivouac. The tour concludes with a camel ride back to meet the driver for the return trip to Marrakech.
