Marrakech – Telouet – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate

Telouet - The driver will collect guests at 8:30 am from their accommodation in Marrakech. The journey will traverse the High Atlas Mountains with pleasant stops in Berber villages, including a visit to the Kasbah of Telouet, followed by lunch. After lunch, the trip continues to Ait Benhaddou via the historic caravan route.

Ait Ben Haddou - Ait Benhaddou, a 16th-century UNESCO World Heritage site, is one of Morocco’s best-preserved and most stunning kasbahs. Known for its role in Hollywood films, it was a location for the 2000 blockbuster movie, Gladiator. Witness the sunset from the Kasbah.

Ouarzazate - Overnight stay with half board at a Riad/Hotel in Ouarzazate.

M’Hamid - The journey continues through the Draa River Valley, lined with millions of palm trees and fascinating old kasbahs. The tour proceeds to the charming village of Tamegrout, where visitors can explore an ancient library with manuscripts on mathematics, theology, astrology, and more. There is also an opportunity to visit a local pottery factory and an underground kasbah. Overnight stay with half board at M’Hamid Camp.

Erg Chigaga - After a hearty breakfast, enjoy a remarkable camel ride in the heart of the Sahara Desert. After approximately three hours, there will be a stop for lunch. In the afternoon, the journey continues until reaching the Camp at Erg Khnata. Overnight stay with half board at Camp, Erg Khnata.

Desert Mhamid – Erg Chigaga Adventure

El Gouera - Following a hearty breakfast, enjoy a camel ride and a lunch break in M’Hamid. At around 3:00 pm, the driver will pick up guests, and the journey will continue by 4×4 through the stunning desert landscape to a sacred oasis, where traditional “thé à la menthe” will be enjoyed. This oasis features a small cluster of palm trees around a spring in the desert, with running water available year-round. In the afternoon, travel an additional 15 km to reach the dunes of Erg Chigaga, which rise to 300 meters and stretch 40 km. Relish the beauty of the sunset over the vast sand dunes. Dinner, entertainment, and overnight stay at the Sahara Camp, Erg Chigaga.

Foum Zguid - Experience the breathtaking sunrise atop a sand dune—a truly unforgettable moment! After breakfast, travel along the old Paris – Dakar route via the dry Lake of Iriqui towards Foum Zguid. Lunch will be served in the Berber village of Taznakht. The journey back to Marrakech will cross the scenic High Atlas Mountains at a pass of 2,260 meters. Arrival in “The Red City” is expected by late afternoon.
