- Acropolis - Begin your Athens sightseeing with the Acropolis hill, a highlight of your day. On this historic hill, you can explore the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Temple of Athena Nike, the grand entrance (Propylaea), the Erechtheum, and the renowned Parthenon, the main temple dedicated to the virgin goddess Athena.
- Propylaea - The Propylaea serves as the grand entrance to the sacred area dedicated to Athena, the city’s patron goddess. Designed by architect Mnesicles using Pentelic marble, its design was innovative. To the southwest of the Propylaea, on a bastion guarding the main entrance to the Acropolis, stands the Ionian temple of Apteros Nike.
- Parthenon - The Parthenon is the principal temple dedicated to the virgin goddess Athena, symbolizing Athenian Democracy and Western Civilization.
- Erechtheion - A temple dedicated to Poseidon and Athena, known as the most unique and sacred site in ancient Athens.
- Temple of Athena Nike - A temple devoted to the goddess Athena Nike, or Wingless Victory.
- Theater of Dionysus - The Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus is a significant theatre in Athens, recognized as the world’s first theatre, located at the base of the Athenian Acropolis.
- Herod Atticus Odeon - The Odeon of Herodes Atticus is a stone Roman theatre structure on the southwest slope of the Acropolis of Athens, Greece. Completed in 161 AD, it was renovated in 1950.
- Panathenaic Stadium - Visit the Panathenaic Stadium, the site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896.
- Dromeas - Created by Kostas Varotsos in 1988, Dromeas features glass fragments that interact with natural and artificial light, as well as water, in its initial version. As the first public modern art piece in Athens, it sparked discussions and debates.
- Mount Lycabettus - Journey to the historical city center and ascend Lycabettus Hill, the highest point in Athens, offering the best panoramic views from the Acropolis hill to the Aegean Sea.
- The Academy of Athens - The Academy Building is part of an “architectural trilogy” and was established on March 18th, 1926, as an Academy of Sciences, Humanities, and Fine Arts.
- The Academy of Athens - The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens is Greece’s largest state higher education institution and one of Europe’s largest universities. Designed by Danish architect Christian Hansen, it was completed in 1864.
- National Library of Greece - Constructed at the end of the 19th century, the National Library of Greece is the final piece of Athens’ Architectural Trilogy, which includes the Academy and the University. Designed by Theophil Hansen.
- Hellenic Parliament - The Hellenic Parliament, known in Greek as Voulí ton Ellínon, is Greece’s parliament, located in the Old Royal Palace, overlooking Syntagma Square in Athens. It is the supreme democratic institution representing citizens through elected Members of Parliament.
- Tomb of the Unknown Soldier - Witness the changing of the guard (Euzones) in front of the old palace, now the Parliament House, above Athens’ central square.
- Plateia Syntagmatos - Syntagma Square is Athens’ central square, named after the Constitution granted by Otto, Greece’s first King, following a popular and military uprising on September 3, 1843.
- Ancient Agora of Athens - The Ancient Greek Agora is considered the birthplace of democracy, philosophy, and free speech.
- Acropolis Museum - Alternatively, visit the Acropolis Museum instead of the Ancient Agora. Upon entering, view the ruins of an ancient Athenian neighborhood through the plexiglass floor, skillfully integrated into the museum’s design after being uncovered during excavations. This stunning modernist museum at the Acropolis’ southern slope showcases its remaining treasures still in Greek possession. While the collection spans the Archaic and Roman periods, it emphasizes the 5th century BCE Acropolis, regarded as the pinnacle of Greece’s artistic achievement.
- Monastiraki - A historically rich neighborhood in Athens.

Very good tour - We did the 6 hour private tour with Tolis. He was amazing. He made sure we got into the entrance of the Acropolis quickly. He was extremely knowledgeable about Greek history.
The highlight for me was the changing of the guard. Tolis knew exactly where to stand and which direction I should film to get the best video. It was so interesting! We really enjoyed the tour! And the lunch was also delicious!!! Thank you Tolis. You made our stay in Athens wonderful!

Worth Every Penny - We took a private tour with Evangelos well on a short visit to Athens. We never would have been able to see everything without his expert guidance and skillful driving through the city. He had an expansive knowledge of culture and history but we were still able to do the tours independently. I would highly recommend to other visitors to Athens that have a limited amount of time to see all of sites.

Great tour of Athens - Tolis was amazing. He took us to all the major sites and some that we weren’t expecting. He was funny and professional at the same time. We all felt comfortable with him. He even tried to help my husband learn some basic Greek words. I would definitely recommend him as a guide.

Would definitely go again with Panos, if we are back in Athens. - Panos was great. He was punctual and patient with our large group. And gave us lot of history. He was superb at driving the narrow streets of Athens.

Perfect tour of Acropolis, Agoura and sights of Athens! - Private tour with experienced guide and driver made this an amazing day of sights and sounds of Athens! Perfectly planned so we feel like we saw everything and received informative facts about what we were seeing in an enjoyable and relaxing pace. The Sunday changing of the guard parade was a special surprise (again, well planned by our driver since it only occurs once a week). Skip-the-line tickets for the Acropolis and Agoura were huge help and Acropolis early AM was great to beat the crowds and heat and have an enjoyable experience in such a historically unique setting. Highly recommended!
