Texas foodies - Amy did a great job showing us some of the different local sights, shopping areas, explaining some of the history of Greece and the food influences from different cultures and nationalities. We were able to see some of the non tourist streets, stores, restaurants, and enjoyed our time visiting with her and the rest of our tour crew.

Our guide was extremely... - Our guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We sampled much more food/drink than expected, and actually couldn’t finish some of it. Well worth it and would recommend it.

Great Athens Street Food Tour - The four of us took the street food tour and it was wonderful. Fotis, our guide made it so much fun. He knew his Greek history, he knew his Greek foods and he knew his neighborhoods. The food he prepared for us to have gave us a super cross section of street foods available in Athens. And beyond the wonderful selection this storytelling and knowledge of the history of the various foods made for a wonderful day. I would recommend this to anyone physically or even living in Athens to learn something they probably never knew.

Nice way to see the restaurant scene in Plaka - Food was fine not outstanding, but our guide wasn’t that friendly, and it was hard to hear her with the large group and noise on the street. It’s a good way to see the restaurant area of Plaka and try different items (gyros, pizza, spinach pies, donuts, orange cake).

Fotis alone was worth it - Fistly the absolute BEST part of this tour was our guide Fotis!!! He has soul, passion and amazing energy. Fotis is a hoot and meeting random people on our tour including his auntie and uncle really emphasised his localness. So many random people on the street were constantly saying hi and he had an impromptu dance with some of the character workers in the fabulous camp and funky Little Kook Street. Fotis brought ús to explore less obvious parts of the city and gave us many recommendations on the way and at the end. He made such and effort to enhance our experience with his wisdom and whit, also ensuring our safety in areas like Monastiriki, notorious for pick pockets. Food aside, Fotis was very much a local culture guide also. The Greek language lesson thrown in for good measure was a nice touch, it is so important to try to speak the language when travelling. Now the reason I only gave 3 stars is because it is an absolute scam regarding the price. I paid €53 after a 15% discount and a quick calculation of food consumed came to the region of about €15-20. We had a gyros pita (granted one of the tastiest), we shared pizza boats (one boat to four people) had a tasty spinch and feta spanakopita, shared bite size pieces of kolouria (maybe 4/5 between 12 of us) and again we shared four portions of loukoumades (them there pistachio one's, WOW) and rounded it off with cake and special homemade cream. Drinks were meant to be included. So those who had beer had a very small glass (think a small water glass even smaller than a whiskey glass) shared out of some small cáns. Sparkling water was poured from a recent sized bottle and left to the side into one of these glasses and again the soft drink options were shared from bottles into tiny glasses also. I usually like to tip but I felt there was more than sufficient leftover funds to cover tips and future tips to come! Overall... Yes I enjoyed the food, yes I was full and 'ell yeah I enjoyed Fotis' company and the group were lovely personable people. However, value for money it is not!
