We arrived about 1.5 hrs... - We arrived about 1.5 hrs prior to sunset. There is a restaurant and gift shop at the entrance. The cost of 20 euro per person to get to the temple of Poseidon was not included in the tour price. Katarina, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. The sunset was beautiful!

Beautiful site! Worth the trip - We just wanted to visit the Temple of Poseidon and watch the sunset and this is exactly what we needed. We just needed a ride there and this was much cheaper than taking a taxi there and back to Athens. We sat in a comfortable bus with AC. The tour guide told us facts about places we passed by and some myths about the temple. We were on our own to explore when we got to the temple and we were fine with that. Keep in mind that admission inside the temple was not included in this trip, you would have to pay when you get there. The temple itself and sunset was beautiful but like any other tourist place, there was many people. We had about 2 hours at the site and decided to eat at the restaurant there. The ride back was fine and offered to drop off at three different points. Would recommend if you would want to visit the temple during sunset

Great tour - Good to have live commentary from a knowledgeable guide. We were lucky to get a good sunset. It would have been nice to also have an option of paying an add on for a guided tour of the site.

Great charm at sunset - Few remains left but enough to make the charm spectacular at sunset. From the top of the cliff dominates the Aegean Sea

Comfortable trip to the Cape for a sunset experience - The bus ride was comfortable and there was enough time at the Cape to explore and take in the views. The temple itself isn't much but the views from the Cape are lovely and we were able to watch the sun-set over the blue waters. So it is recommended only for the beautiful landscapes and the lovely views.

Magic place - If you once visit Athens and like both beautiful scenery and ancient ruins, Cape Sunion is an extra plus. Visit the place to witness the sunset. You will not be disappointed!

Meh - The tour bus on the way there was very warm - the a/c not strong enough for a bus full of people on a hot day. The bus loads in an unorganized and hasty fashion and our family didn’t get to sit by each other. The tour guide was a nice enough guy, but the tour talk was not interesting and he really only talked about some points of interest while driving out of Athens. As for the Temple area, it’s a beautiful view and sunset but you’re there for almost 3 hours and there’s a lot of people there and not many places to sit except on sharp uneven rocks. There was no working bathroom on the tour bus and the bathrooms were out of order at the Temple site. We basically had to “hold it” for 6 hours. The driver did stop on way home at a restaurant and told us we could go there. The temple is cool but if you see other temples and going to see the beach or water / sunset elsewhere you don’t have to go to this one. I don’t feel it was worth the money, but it’s not so expensive that I feel completely ripped off, either. I wouldn’t recommend as a must do at all.

Awesome sights; beautiful sunset - Guide was no engaging and welcoming. First words were ‘you may not eat or drink alcohol on the bus’. Ok… that is the tule? But it would have been nice to welcome us, introduce himself, then give us the rules. Also, suggesting a sweater or jacket in case of windy, cool weather would have been nice.

Inaccurate - Cannot review because the information in the posting was inaccurate and caused us to miss our tour. I am still seeking a refund.

A waste of time - If you're short on time and don't like wasting money, I strongly suggest you don't book this. The guides are the only good thing about this tour, being very kind. Apart from that, you're paying for a very expensive bus trip. The said "air-conditioner" must be the friends we made along the way, because everyone was sweating the whole way there. The wifi didn't work for half of the trip, had to keep reconnecting. You couldn't understand anything the guide was saying from the back of the bus, so even the bus description has flaws. You then get to the temple, and get informed that you'll have to go to a ticket office and pay another 20€ for the ticket to enter. The tour description says that to have the ticket included you have to "select the option" (which is written in small letters so most of us will miss that part), which wasn't presented at any point. In any case, it's, saying the least, immoral to sell a "Cape Sounion & Temple of Poseidon Sunset Experience" which translates into a very expensive bus trip. Wasting our afternoon sure was an experience, and there were the temple and the sunset, just not provided by them. We ended up seing the sunset and the temple from the distance.
