- Delphi - Delphi was considered the center of the world. According to mythology, it is here that Zeus’s two eagles, sent from the universe’s ends to find the world’s navel, met. The sanctuary of Delphi, nestled in a breathtaking landscape, was for many centuries the cultural and religious hub and symbol of unity for the Hellenic world. Delphi’s history begins in prehistory and the myths of ancient Greece. Initially, the site was sacred to Mother Earth and guarded by the fearsome serpent Python, later slain by Apollo. Apollo’s sanctuary was established here by Cretans who arrived at Kirrha, Delphi’s port, accompanied by the god in dolphin form. This myth was celebrated in plays during various Delphic festivals, such as the Septerion, the Delphinia, the Thargelia, the Theophania, and the renowned Pythia, which honored Python’s death with musical and athletic competitions.
- Delphi Archaeological Museum - The Delphi Archaeological Museum showcases world-renowned artworks like the Naxian Sphinx, the statue of Antinoos, the frieze of the Treasury of the Sifnians, and the bronze Charioteer.
- Temple of Apollo - Admire some of the most significant and unique archaeological monuments, including the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo, the Athenian Stoa, and the Polygonal Wall. Our highly skilled and professional tour guide will ensure you don’t miss a thing and thoroughly enjoy the tour.
- Delphi - Our final stop is a traditional Greek taverna in the village of Delphi, where we spend about 90 minutes for an optional lunch or enjoy some free time to take in the beautiful surroundings.
- Arachova - Arachova is a delightful mountain town on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, often referred to as the “Winter Mykonos” of Greece. Known for its traditional stone houses, cozy atmosphere, and stunning views, Arachova is a popular spot for skiing, hiking, and exploring nearby Delphi. Visitors can savor local delicacies like formaela cheese, shop for handmade textiles, and experience the town’s lively après-ski scene. Whether in winter or summer, Arachova offers a perfect blend of nature, culture, and Greek hospitality.
