This is a completely hands-on class where participants will engage in crafting a full Greek menu using fresh ingredients and traditional methods. A standout feature of the class is mastering the art of stretching and rolling handmade phyllo pastry for a classic Greek pie, a skill not commonly taught in most cooking classes.
Participants will collaboratively prepare 6 traditional dishes, which may include tzatziki, stuffed vine leaves (dolmadakia), Greek salad, a homemade pie with hand-rolled phyllo, a seasonal main such as moussaka, pastitsio, chicken with lemony potatoes, or gyros, and a traditional dessert like baklava rolls.
The class is structured to be entirely hands-on while maintaining a smooth and enjoyable pace, allowing focus on essential techniques and the cooking process.
After cooking, everyone gathers to savor the meal, complemented by Greek wine and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
The class is held in a bright cooking studio in central Athens with a lovely view of the Acropolis and is designed as a small-group experience (maximum 16 guests), ensuring active participation from all.
