Great Tour - Meteora is a really beautiful and interesting place to visit. A private tour I think is the best way to do it because you get to spend more time at each monastery and maximize your time. George our tour guide was professional, specially knowledgeable and very attentive. He explained a lot of the history and interesting facts while driving from place to place, and he took us to a good restaurant with delicious authentic food at a good price. I really recommend this tour and remember to ask for George if you want to have the best experience.

Don’t fret about the time or money, GO. You won’t regret it. - If you ever have the chance to tour Meteora with George, TAKE IT! Yes, it does make for a very long day leaving out of Athens. But the drive is on good roads, George is safe driver and most importantly, he is describing some of the history of the area while driving through it. The absolute star of this tour however, has to be Meteora. One word: STUNNING!

Unbelievable Views! - I am still stunned by Meteora. The views were amazing, unlike any other. The monasteries had so much detail it's almost unbelievable that they were built so long ago. Our driver George took good care of us especially since it was such a long drive, he provided lots of history about the lands on the way. I would definitely do it again, you can't get enough of the views looking to and down from the monasteries. Be prepared to hike! Much less to say about Thermopylae but it's in the way so why not...

Well worth it - Alex was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and professional. Explained a lot of things on the way to the tour as well as being flexible with things we wanted to see

Worth the price for a private tour - Toils was such a nice driver, friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the places he took us. Provided us with cold water, and was a safe driver. Delivered us as close as possible to the places we wanted to see, and picked us up when we were through. Never rushed us through anything and took us off the beaten track. He also took lots of pics of us. So nice to be able to get there before the tour buses arrived. Tolis took us to the cutest restaurant in the small town near Meteora. Would highly recommend Tolis, and the visit to the Meteora Monasteries. It was definitely the highlight of our five night visit to Athens. Thank you Tolis.

Meteora in the heatwave - We were picked up on time at our hotel and immediately felt comfortable with our guide Alex. On our way out of Athens he offered some history and pointed out monuments as we passed. The 4 hour ride went quickly, Alex allowed us time to sleep and also gave many facts about the countryside as we passed. This was during the heatwave last week and he made sure we had plenty of water and started w the easiest monastery to enter first. He offered suggestions as to which ones we might want to visit, took us to scenic spots for pictures and was always waiting when we exited. We elected to see 4 monasteries and he didn’t rush us to get back on the road as we had heard of some other tours. We then went into town and had a delicious lunch at a place he recommended. On the long ride back we stopped at Thermopylae and took pictures and he told us the historical significance of the site and the hot springs. Also, we had shared some of our itinerary in Athens and he text us later to give some recommendations on places we mentioned. Would certainly recommend using LS Tours and specifically Alex. We were worried about the long day and the heat and Alex made the experience easy and memorable.

Amazing experience - What an amazing experience that I managed to share with my young son. Our tour guide and driver Alex was by far the best driver I’ve managed to come across in Greece. Alex made contact with us the day before to confirm our pickup location in Athens city. On the morning of our pickup he was prompt and very professional and made sure that we will comfortable in his vehicle. Alex has an amazing amount of knowledgeable of Athens and of the surroundings areas, this made for great conversations to make our journey go pass quickly. His knowledge of ancient Greek history and mythology was exceptional. He gave us thorough explanations of the history behind Meteora and ensure that our time at each Monastery was well spent and not rushed. His explanation of the battle of Thermopylae was well received by my 9 year old son who enjoyed making the connections of specific locations on the battlefield between the Spartans and Persians. I would highly recommend Alex as your tour guide and driver. Thanks again Alex for an amazing experience. Regards Pete
