• Nafplio - Guided walking tour of Nafplio city and free time to explore: the charming town of Nafplio, a seaside treasure rich in history and allure. Enjoy a guided walking tour through the town’s marble-paved streets, where the guide will share the stories behind its blend of Venetian, Ottoman, and Greek influences. Admire landmarks such as the French Obelisk, the Venetian Loggia, and the historic “White House.” Explore the town’s old and new castles and delve into Greece’s political history as you encounter statues of Ioannis Kapodistrias, Greece’s first governor, and King Otto, its first modern king.

Discover the remnants of the ancient city of Mycenae, a significant hub of Greek civilization from 1600 BC to 1100 BC. Following the guided tour of Mycenae, the journey continues to Nafplion, a charming seaside town that has served as the region’s port since the Bronze Age. Nafplion was the capital of Greece after the declaration of independence until 1834. During the visit, highlights include the French obelisk, the Venetian loggia, the “White House,” and the impressive old and new castles. Stroll along the marble-paved path to the new town while discussing Greece’s political history amidst the statues of Ioannis Kapodistrias and King Otto.

The tour concludes with a return to Athens.

As a result, the visit to Nafplio may occur either in the morning or the afternoon. Rest assured, both experiences are fully included, though the sequence may vary.
