Very informative review,... - Very informative review, unfortunately it was extremely hot which made it somewhat difficult. Having said that, our guide was very gracious with water and ice cream stops, and he gave us so much useful information about the history of Athens from all angles--the philosophy perspective, the history, and democracy in general. Loved it and very educational for the kids as well

Hands down the best walking tour I have done! Don't miss. - I have done many walking tours in many European cities. This was the best out of all of them. The guide, Panos, is extremely learned in Greek history and paints a picture of what went on in each location as we walk through each of the sites. He goes into indepth detail into history, philosophy, the various ears that occired and the reasons behind them and what changes they brought about. By the time you leave, you understand the breadth of the impact ancient Greece had on our world today and you realize you are standing right where it happened. Skip trying to see the sights yourself this is a must do in Athens. You will learn more.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! This was one of the highlights of our time in Athens - This tour was awesome! Panos is so knowledgeable and really pushes you to think critically during the tour. One of my favorite parts was when he described problems of the past and related them to problems of today (“nothing new under the sun.” - I think this is the quote he used). 10/10 incredible, no notes. HIGHLY recommend.

A must tour - We cannot recommend this tour enough and was a highlight of our trip. Panos was incredibly knowledgeable and the perfect guide. We learned so much and never felt overwhelmed. If you want an intellectual tour that covers a lot about information of Greece, philosophy and democracy, this tour is perfect. Even with the heat, we took good breaks in the shade and the walk was not difficult. The discussion at the end felt like the best kind of way to wrap up. The philosophy/science/history wrap up was amazing. I'd recommend this tour to anyone.

Perfect tour - Perfect guide. We learned so much. If you want an intellectual tour that covers a lot about formation of Greece, philosophy and democracy, this is it. The tour was perfect. The depth of knowledge was incredible. The way the info flowed with the actual locations was impressive. We would like to take another or any tour he does. This was great for my teenager too.

Modern day “student of Socrates” experience - Our experience with Panos on this tour is one of the many highlights of our first visit to Athens. Walking through the streets of of the city while listening to him speak filled us with a sense of walking in the shoes of students and philosophers of the past. His information and sense of humor made us feel welcome and empowered. The pacing of the tour was perfect and I greatly enjoyed learning about the history of Greece and the city, and the ending part of the tour felt like a private lecture with an incredibly passionate and kind professor. I am deeply appreciative of the knowledge and care Panos shared with us and will remember this experience fondly for the rest of our days. Thank you to Panos and his lovely assistant.

Panos the Fabulous - I feel really obliged, to praise GOD we met Panos. He is by all means the best Guide we ever encountered and we travel a lot. Panos is extremely knowledgeable, a live walking encyclopedia, all he told us is worth the front row at any university, seriously. His way of interacting was extremely educational, while blended with a unique sense of humor makes him the cream of the best. Panos is a must guy, not to miss for whoever takes this tour.
