• National Library of Greece - After meeting a member of the Be a Greek team outside the Panepistimio Metro Station, participants will embark on a 4-hour walking tour through some of Athens’ most unique and genuine neighborhoods, offering a chance to explore the vibrant Athenian Street Art scene.
• Exarchia - The tour begins in Exarchia, a neighborhood renowned for its artistic and student vibe. Renowned street artists like WD, STMTS, Sonke, and iNO have added a distinctive flair to the urban landscape, making this area famous worldwide. In Exarchia, there will also be an opportunity to unwind with a coffee at a local café, adorned with unique anamorphic graffiti.
• Psyri - The journey continues to Psyrri, where participants will discover both its touristic and alternative sides, while admiring some of the most renowned and beautiful artworks, such as the famous dog Loukanikos (Sausage in Greek), which reflect the socio-political climate of the country. During this part of the walk, there will be a chance to discuss the incredible artist Achilles and explore some of his distinctive works.
• Kerameikos - Moving on from Psyrri, the tour will pass through the Kerameikos pedestrian area, showcasing the contrast between the ancient exhibits of Kerameikos and the modern artworks in the vicinity. After a short walk, participants will reach one of the tour’s highlights, the massive DaVinci murals crafted by iNO, a remarkable example of Athenian Street Art. The tour concludes at Kerameikos Metro Station, leaving participants with a day full of memorable images and an extraordinary experience.
