• Spinalonga - Spinalonga, known as the last leper colony in Europe, is situated in Elounda, where visitors can board a boat to the island. The Venetians originally fortified the islet in 1579, constructing a fortress equipped with 40 cannons, which are among the best-preserved walls in Europe.

  From 1903 to 1957, it served as a leper colony, providing residents with improved living conditions, medical assistance, and financial support. Visitors can explore the remnants of the market street, shops, hospital, and numerous small houses where lepers once lived in isolation.

• Elounda - After departing Spinalonga Island, there is free time to discover the charming village of Elounda or enjoy a swim in the pristine waters of Elounda Bay.

• Agios Nikolaos - Before returning to Heraklion, a visit to Agios Nikolaos is planned. This town, home to 14,000 residents, is nestled on the Gulf of Mirabello. At the heart of Agios Nikolaos lies Lake Voulismeni, likely formed by an earthquake. Here, visitors can enjoy a coffee break or stroll around the lake, offering a stunning view over the town center and harbor. Adjacent to the picturesque harbor are tree-lined streets filled with shops, perfect for some serious shopping.
