• Santuario de Jesus Nazareno - The journey from San Miguel de Allende to the Sanctuary of Jesus Nazareno takes approximately 20 minutes. During the drive, the operator will discuss the local area, nearby communities, and the new neighborhoods we pass, providing insight into the region’s development and history.

Upon arrival at the Sanctuary, visitors will see an image of Father Miguel Hidalgo holding a picture of the Virgin of Guadalupe. This location marks a pivotal moment in the fight for independence in 1810. A brief talk about this historic event will be shared.

Next, the main façade of the church will be admired, and its founding will be discussed.

Visitors will enter the church respectfully—removing hats or caps—and explore its six sections of the nave, including the Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary, Our Lady of Loreto, and the Chapels of Calvary and the Holy Sepulchre. Inside, the beautiful tempera paintings that adorn the walls from the entrance to the altar will be noticed.
