• Auckland Central - Begin your journey in New Zealand’s largest city. As you depart, your guide will not only set the stage for today’s adventure but also highlight and guide you past some of the city’s top attractions.
• Waikato - Leaving Auckland, travel south through the breathtaking Waikato countryside, the world’s largest farming region, where you’ll encounter stunning landscapes, mighty rivers, excellent photo opportunities, impressive mountains, and various farm animals along the way.
• Coromandel Peninsula - The itinerary depends on tidal conditions. Tours that coincide with tide times at Hot Water Beach will include a visit there. If you’re on our Coastal Adventure tour, you’ll explore other key highlights of the Coromandel Peninsula instead!
• Hahei - It’s time for a lunch break to recharge! Stop in Hahei to purchase a delicious meal before continuing the adventure.
• Cathedral Cove Walk - Explore Cathedral Cove, one of New Zealand’s most iconic natural wonders. The walk to Cathedral Cove takes between 30 to 45 minutes, but the stunning coastal views and the chance to explore this breathtaking beach make it worthwhile. Access to Cathedral Cove depends on the weather. For safety reasons, the track may be unsuitable after or during heavy rain. In such cases, alternative plans will be made to ensure an incredible experience.
• Auckland - Unfortunately, after a day in paradise, it’s time to head north again. However, your day isn’t over yet, as you’ll enjoy a fully guided return trip to Auckland with secret stops along the way.

Cathedral Cove & Hot Water Beach Tour – This tour operates only when the tides are favorable, allowing you to create your own spa at the renowned Hot Water Beach (remember to bring a towel and swimwear!).

Coastal Adventure Tour – Available on alternate days, this tour follows the same breathtaking coastal route and highlights, including Cathedral Cove, but does not include Hot Water Beach.

Tours are available daily, with schedules based on tidal conditions. If your chosen tour is not available, consider the alternative option—both tours feature Mautohe Cathedral Cove, ranked among the world’s Top 50 Beaches!

No matter which tour you select, you will experience stunning landscapes, hidden gems, and the unique Cheeky Kiwi Travel experience: small groups, enthusiastic guides, wildlife encounters, and thoughtful details that make our tours truly memorable.

Please note that access to Cathedral Cove is subject to weather conditions; alternative stops may be arranged if necessary.

• A high level of fitness and good mobility is required, including a challenging 40-minute walk to and from Cathedral Cove over uneven terrain and stairs. Not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties.
• Hot Water Beach access is tide-dependent and may not always be possible for safety reasons.
• Tracks may be unsafe during or after heavy rain; alternative arrangements will be made if required.
• Bring swimwear and a towel if you wish to swim. Closed-in, sturdy footwear is mandatory.
• Children aged 7 and under must use a child safety seat. You may bring your own or hire one for NZ$20 with 24 hours’ notice.
• Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
