• Karangahake Gorge Historic Walkway - Ride the second section of the Karangahake Gorge from Waikino to Waihi and back again (14km each way). This section of trail is steeped in history from the Gold rush days and has masses of interesting features and scenic sights along the way.

For some added site seeing there is a 45 minute historic train ride available from Waikino to Waihi most weekend days, and also an interesting walk around the Waihi Mine pit to add to your riding adventure.
