A must-experience activity - What a great way to spend a half day in Auckland. Mike is incredibly knowledgeable and will share lots of historical facts about the volcanoes and the Maori people. The views themselves are incredible and it's such a great way to get out of the city and spend some time in nature. The hotel pick-up and drop-off is extremely convenient as well. I highly recommend including this tour in your visit to Auckland. Thank you Mike!

Facinating and informative - Mike, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and patient. We had lots of questions, which he answered. We saw 4 main volcanoes, and he pointed out another 10 or so from the top of Mt. Eden. I recommend it highly

Ontario Canada - Mike kept us up dated about time and place of pickup. He was very informative about the volcanoes and the forming of craters. He also told us the history of the people who first arrived there. He was friendly with a good sense of humour. We also received great tour of the city which was a great bonus.

.Auckland Volcano tours H - Mike was a great guide. Very knowledgeable about the geology and volcanic history of the area. Enjoyed seeing the great views of Auckland especially from Mt Eden. Would have liked to go to top of Wellington but had time constraints. Loved the bakery stop for a coffee and pastry. Kept to a designated timeline. Would definitely recommend this tour if you are interested in the volcanic characteristics of the area.

Interesting and educational! - Very interesting tour hitting four volcano peaks across Auckland. Mike did a great job teaching us about the unique nature of Auckland and its underlying volcano field as well as sprinkling in some Māori and NZ history and culture. No spoilers but the volcanoes really are different than typical ones around the world. Beautiful views from multiple spots with a nice (but not strenuous) hike up a couple of the peaks.

Outstanding Tour, Do Not Miss - My wife and I are 'Volcano Nerds" and have traveled around the world just to experience them, in Iceland, Hawaii, Italy, Yellowstone, Japan to name a few. We have taken many tours, but have never met a guide as knowledgeable as Mike. His knowledge is deep and exceeded our expectations. He answered every question with confidence. He accommodated our physical needs as senior citizens who love to travel. He has also traveled the world himself, so he can compare experiences with the seasoned traveler. We recommend this outstanding experience to our fellow adventurers!
