Hobbiton - 10/10 - A big thank you to Kelly and Damien for being our tour guides, they couldn’t have done enough for us and made us feel like family. A real credit to Bush and Beach. Fantastic communication with Bush and Beach also, as living in UK, communication via email was great, very quick responses from the team (even with the time difference), made us feel at ease with the booking confirmation / any questions we had. Seeing the hobbit holes / over all scenery was beautiful, a real LOTR / Hobbit treat! A must do if you’re in the area! Lunch was also included and this was delicious, great choice of food also. Also thanks to Damien for introducing us to Hokey Pokey ice cream (a New Zealand delicacy) this was delicious and will be missed when we return to England. Thank again! Wendy and Zoe - Sussex, UK 😊

Highly recommended for kids and adults regardless of exposure to Lord of the Rings - Damien was the perfect host for this tour. He was friendly and professional, gave terrific background regarding the Hobbiton movie set, and is passionate about sharing the experience with his guests. Our group was a mix of Lord of the Ring fans as well as some who knew nothing about the movies or books, and all enjoyed the day.

Hobbiton - it was very interesting to see the film site used for the Hobbit village in Lord of the Rings, esp drinking a beer in the Green Dragon Inn.

Fabulous tour and great guide - Fantastic day out. Damien was funny, informative about NZ and all things Peter Jackson and behind the scenes of filming. He was a great guide, we all felt like family by the end of the day! The Hobbiton experience was brilliant, especially the interactive holes. The area is picturesque and beautiful. A great buffet lunch and drink at the Green Dragon Inn. A must do experience and a fabulous day for the teenagers and I. Thank you!

Smooth Experience with a Caring Driver - Great experience with the tour company. They were on time for pickup, and our driver, Mairi, was fantastic. She was friendly, engaging, and made the trip enjoyable by sharing interesting facts about Auckland, Hobbiton, and other spots along the way. She also checked in with us about our experience throughout the day. I won’t comment on the Hobbiton tour itself, but the lunch break was a bit rushed—about 50 minutes, which felt tight, especially since I was really hungry that day and had to eat quickly. But other than that, everything went smoothly. The car was new, clean, and modern, which was a nice touch.

Once in a lifetime trip with Bush and Beach! - Amazing, breathtaking, well organized, and utterly enjoyable! Bush and Beach showed why they won yearly awards for their services in Auckland. The communication from the team was excellent. They gave clear instructions with precise timelines. Their driver was early to pick me up from my hotel (which is a huge bonus! I didn't have to take an Uber to a shared location!!). From the hotel, we picked up other friends, then made our way to Hobbiton. Our driver, Wendell, was full of interesting facts and knowledge about Auckland and the surrounding areas. We made a quick stop for coffee and bathrooms, before heading to our final destination, Hobbiton! When we arrived, Wendell gave us clear instructions and a strict timetable. He shared some inside tips that made the ride down to the set much more enjoyable. Hobbiton itself is amazing! Well worth the money spent! I took over 100 pictures of different Hobbit holes, scenery, and the beautiful countryside. Our guide, Sam (or Samwise :)) was professional and very informative. He shared stories from his time on the set and made the entire tour enjoyable. After the tour was complete, we grabbed our drink from the Green Dragon, then headed in for lunch. What an unbelievable spread at lunch! Salad, potatoes, rice, chicken, beef, fried fish, carved roast beef, and last but not least, dessert fit for a Hobbit! The apple crisp should not be missed! The ride home was scenic, displaying the beautiful countryside of New Zealand. We made a quick stop at Hampton Downs for a smoothie and a quick break to hear the cars racing on the track. We made it home around 3pm, bellies and cameras full!

Great tour, Hobbiton was extremely interesting a must see. - This is a great tour. Even if you are not a Lord of the Rings fan Hobbiton is a fascinating place. The tour guide was outstanding. Very knowledgeable, friendly and informative. The lunch was better than expected. Exceeded every expectation.

Great company, great experience. - Our tour guide took us from our hotel in Auckland to Hobbiton and back. He was friendly, informative, and helpful. He took us there and back on 2 different routes, which was very nice. Bathroom breaks were well-scheduled. We were on a bit of a time schedule, and he got us back to our hotel right on time. A fun trip!

Small group, long drive, loads of fun! - Although the ride there was long, the van was very comfortable with adequate stops, including bathroom breaks. Small group touring is the best option. Our driver, Michele commanded a wealth of interesting topograohy, and Hobbit movie making knowledge. Her wit and knowledge made the trip so enjoyable!! Hobbiton was an absolute blast!!
