Do this! - We really enjoyed our team seeing the beaches and learning more about the local culture. Highly recommend as an escape from Auckland!

Perfect Day Trip from Auckland - The perfect day trip from our Auckland CBD hotel. The West Coast, Piha and Wuriwai Reserve are beautiful, as is the drive between destinations. Mike was a super tour guide, offering comfortable and modern transportation, snacks and waters, knowledge of all the areas, and a happy, flexible demeanor. Not wanting a crowded tour or to drive the mountain roads ourselves, this was the perfect alternative. Highly recommend.

Fabulous excursion of the west coast of NZ - Mike was a fantastic guide. Extremely knowledgeable. Loved having a private tour of the west coast of New Zealand. My family enjoyed this excursion and took many memorable photos. Highly recommend this excursion with Mike as a guide.

Black magic at Piha - The black sand beaches are a must see! Unfortunately, the Gannet colony and Murawi beach was unreachable due to slide. However, Mike provided some great alternatives, including Mount Eden and the Rose Garden. All around a fabulous day. Thanks!

It was nice to have a private tour, but you have to pay for it. - 3. I had a private tour with Mike since I travelled solo, and it was my first time in New Zealand. Mike was super easy to communicate with. He quickly answered all my questions on my itinerary and even made some research and suggestions since I was more interested more in wildlife. Mike picked me up from my hotel near Auckland airport, just as we agreed (I had to pay extra for it). The vehicle was clean and comfortable for traveling. I am a hobbyist photographer, so If I needed to stay longer at a sport, Mike was total open to that. Unfortunately, it rained the entire trip which kind of spoiled my experience. Overall, I had a great experience with Mike and would recommend him as a private guide, although, it was quite pricey.

Beautiful scenery! - This excursion was worth it just for the time we spent at Piha Beach. We went to a Visitor Center, Piha Beach, and then to the top of One Tree Hill for a great view of Auckland. Mike was a very accommodating tour guide and drove us many miles. We only wish he would have given us a little more historical type information as we drove. Even with that criticism, we would recommend this tour if you want to see the west coast of the island.
