Great walk on Waiheke Island - Matiatia headland and great views of Hauraki Gulf Uslands - Our guide, Cindy, was marvelous! Full of history and stories about the island and its inhabitants. It was a very hot day, so she was flexible w/our headland and coastal walk. She made sure we had plenty of water, was able to get ahold of hiking poles for a couple of us, and kept a pace that worked well for us.
The island is gorgeous, we learned a lot about the flora, as well as Māori history. We had a box lunch on the beach, which was much welcomed. It was a great day!

Epic day on Waiheke Island - Our tour with Maria was awesome. She took us to a "secret" cove only accessible through a tunnel in the cliff. Harvested fresh oysters off the rocks. Small, but oh, so salty & tasty. Stopped on the beach for a great picnic lunch from the local grocery store. Our daughter-in-law took a nippy swim in the cove! On to a fabulous wine tasting. Watched as they "harvested" olives with a vibrating pole. Stayed for dinner at The Oyster Inn. Great meal. Late ferry back to Auckland. Highly recommend!

An Adventure Next to Auckland - Del and her team were amazing. We didn’t know what to expect but were blown away by her knowledge of the island, the plant, and wildlife. She was great and made it an amazing day. Would 100% recommend.

My Guided Hike around the Waiheke Island with Terra and Tide - I recently visited the Waiheke Island as part of my solo new Zealand Adventure. As soon as I deboarded the Ferry, I was greeted by my Terra and Tide guide and hike partner for the day Dell. From there we embarked on a remarkable hiking adventure around the island. It was a roughly 5 KM hike, completely achievable by anyone with some hiking experience. The scenic beauty along the way is absolutely breathtaking and it follows you throughout the hike. Dell is very informed, and she constantly educated me on the Maori culture, introduced me to the native plants and bird species. She is also so kind and ensured I was comfortable and safe throughout the trip. At the end of the hike, we had a lovely picnic lunch by the sea and also dipped our feet in the cold and crisp water. From there, Dell took me to have a hokey pokey ice cream, before I took the ferry back to the mainland. This was truly a highlight of my New Zealand trip and Dell truly made it feel extra special. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip and getting to spend a day with Dell, learning more about New Zealand, its culture, flora and fauna. Cannot wait to be back and would definitely book another hike with Terra and tide.

Great Hike and wonderful guide - Justine was an amazing and knowledgeable guide. She quickly assessed our needs and combined our hike with a stop for olive and wine tasting. We really enjoyed both stops!
It was simply a perfect and memorable day. I highly recommend this tour if you want to combine some activity with some relaxation.

Waiheke Double Headland Walk - We had two wonderful guides (one in training), both knowledgeable about the flora, fauna, history, environmental regulations and more. Interesting all the way round the Headlands. The 5 hours of hiking was ambitious and our guides watched that we were aware of some “difficult” areas on the path near a cliff or going up/down challenging sections. Overall it was a very worthwhile and memorable adventure. We highly recommend! Jim & Joan

A rewarding hike. - We really appreciated the knowlege of Gabrielle about the island, its history and the flora and fauna of the area. We learned so much about the positve steps NZ is taking to restore the natural habitat, the history and the efforts to protect the ecological system of Waiheke. All with a personal touch, The two hour plus hike was at a pace that provided good exercise for the day, Bruce and Ann, San Diego CA.

Fantastic Personalised Walking tours of Waiheke. - Thank you Terra and Tide! My friends and I had a wonderful 4 day 3 night bespoke walking tour with Terra and Tide and can fully recommend their services. They where very organised, on time, and nothing was too hard for them to do for us, even with last minute changes. Gabrielle and Tracey where fabulous guides on our walks with wonderful knowledge of Waiheke Island and Maori culture and language. A fantastic tour group.
