Best Way to see Waiheke Island - This is a rich and righteous shout out to Debbie, who was beyond professional, knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and exceeded our expectations for this Waiheke tour. Thanks to Debbies “down home” bapproach to discovering sites and delights, we find Waiheke Island now one of our top work remote locations in the word: Big Sur California + Hawaii + a little slice of Heaven!

A Perfect Gourmet Escape on Waiheke – 5 Stars! - We had an incredible day on the Waiheke Island Gourmet Food and Wine Tour, and it’s an easy five stars from us! From start to finish, everything was relaxed, well-paced, and thoughtfully curated. Our guide Jo was a true gem – warm, knowledgeable, and made us feel instantly at ease. She brought such a lovely energy to the group and gave great insights throughout the day without ever feeling overbearing. Our first stop was Kennedy Point where Nikki hosted us with passion and care, sharing the story of their organic wines with real heart. The coastal setting was the perfect welcome to the island. At Batch Winery, we were looked after by Hannah who was friendly and informative, making the tasting experience really enjoyable – plus, the views from the estate were absolutely stunning. But the standout of the day was lunch at Casita Miro. Aries hosted us with flair and humour, and the food was just outstanding – creative, beautifully presented, and incredibly delicious. Easily one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. Waiheke’s charm, paired with such genuine hospitality and top-notch food and wine, made this tour one of the highlights of our trip. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the region!

A trip to a happy and fascinating vineyard - The reason we chose this group is that we have seen the restaurant ratings of lunch with him; and his three vineyards with each vineyard is an additional surprise, the first vineyard with the raw food just on the shore; the second vineyard's environment and food selection are also very compatible with each wine, one of which is Havarti cheese (we rarely eat good Havarti in Taiwan); the third vineyard offers lunch, each salad, each ingredient, each main dish is very careful. The focus is the tour guide “Paul” very careful, very friendly, very appropriate enthusiasm, introducing the geography, landscape, beautiful views, so we feel the tour of the vineyard is fascinating, but also to feel the relaxation and enjoyment of tourism in the area, Thank U Paul!!!

Fantastic Experience - One of the best excursions we tried in New Zealand. Wonderful wineries and scenery. Small bus of only 8 people. The last winery had many unique mosaic features. Food pairings for lunch were spectacular.

Great little experience. - Our tour was with Ananda Tours and it covered a portion of Waiheke Island to include their chosen wineries. It was a small-group minibus tour (16 people on our tour). A big shout out to our driver, Michael, who knows the island inside out, and who gave us snippets of information as we drove between the vineyards. He really was a great guide. Just to clarify: although the title of the excursion is "Gourmet Food and Wine Tour", it is primarily aimed at the wine-tasting experience, but with each of the 3 wineries we visited advising how each of their wines are best paired-up with certain types of food. (Kennedy Point; Batch Winery; Casita Miro). I will also add that we are not "wine buffs" by any stretch of the imagination, but we still very much enjoyed the whole experience. Lunch was a tapas style at the Casita Miro and was very nice. I mentioned that we visited 3 vineyards, but, in addition, we visited a great little whisky/beer making facility (The Heke Kitchen, Brewery & Distillery) and had a tasting there; Ananda are in the process of deciding whether to adopt this venue as a regular part of the tour, so were keen to see how it went down with the punters - and we all loved it! The full day all went very smoothly and ran bang on time. All in all very enjoyable.
