Here, visitors can explore a vast collection of petroglyphs, learn about the natural environment of Gobustan, its population, cultural evolution, and archaeological expeditions in the region. With the help of touch screens and special 3D panoramas, the museum offers a glimpse into the lives of people from 5,000 to 20,000 years ago. The museum’s rooms feature a diverse array of historical exhibits dating from approximately the 4th to 2nd millennium BC.

Following this, the guide will lead visitors to the Gobustan rocks, where they can witness over 6,000 rock drawings and caves firsthand. Petroglyphs from various eras, discovered by scientists in the 1930s, provide insights into ancient peoples, their worldviews, customs, and traditions.

Mud Volcanoes - Mud Volcanoes.
Mud volcanoes emerged in the area of present-day Azerbaijan 25 million years ago. Currently, Azerbaijan holds the world record for the number of mud volcanoes, with 350 out of the world’s 800 located in the Azerbaijani Republic. The eruptions of these volcanoes serve as raw materials in the chemical and construction industries, as well as in pharmacology. Additionally, volcanic clay and mud are now used in treating nervous system, skin, and rheumatic diseases.
Our guide will escort you to the active mud volcanoes, where you can climb and observe the craters up close.
Before the second part of the tour begins, guests will enjoy a one-hour lunch break in the city center.

Ateshgah - Fire Temple - Ateshgah of Baku.
According to Persian and Indian inscriptions, the Fire Temple of Baku served as a place of worship for Hindus and Zoroastrians. The earliest mention of this temple dates back to the 7th century AD.
Visitors can explore numerous cells of fire worshippers, along with a large collection of historical exhibits (cookware, stone slabs with inscriptions, clothing elements) uncovered during archaeological excavations. -
Yanardag State Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve - Yanardag State Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve.
Yanardag is a natural gas flame that has been continuously burning since ancient times on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula near Baku. The term “Yanardag” translates to “Burning Mountain.”
To this day, pilgrims from Iran and India visit this sacred burning mountain.
At the conclusion of the tour, guests will be returned to their location in Baku.
