Loved the private tour - We went on a private 6 person tour with John- loved it, he seems local, history teacher.. really enjoyed our day. He knew enough about key parts of Austin, and had great stories..

Tour great but replace the van shocks!!! - John was great, very knowledgeable and entertaining. Excellent tour. Van another story, Nice vehicle but “shot” shocks made for a very bumpy and uncomfortable ride (Like a 3rd world van)

Our driver ran 2 red... - Our driver ran 2 red lights and made a couple of political comments that, although they may resonate with some, were pretty inappropriate in general. The building and sights we visited were fine.

Did NOT see enough of Austin for the price!!!e - John was our guide and very knowledgeble about the capitol but spent way over an hour there on every floor and too much time on paintings etc. We learned nothing about everything outside. On the entire tour he talked too much about himself (I also read that in another review) and the music he is involved in. We were picked up after 1 and not back until about 4 30 and we only did inside state capitol, Mt Bonnelli, a Texas mural and coffee shop and some information driving between these places. In your information tour was to include Pfluger bridge and Pennybacker bridge (which I asked about and he made excuses about not much to see and not going there. I believe he spent way too much time at capitol and then not time to stop other places which were to be included. Information said entry fees included but there were no entry fees as these all free. He drove a new Mercedes van that he did not know how to get air conditioning to the back seat and was very warm that day so not too comfortable. This is an expensive tour (including a tip) as I had a group of 4 at $109 per person and really did not see alot except the capitol and you can go there and get a free tour yourself. I really expected to see alot more of Austin and was very disappointed!
