- Congress Avenue Bridge Bat Watching - Join the Evening Bat-Watching Kayak tour, where guests paddle from the dock to the Congress Avenue Bridge. The views of downtown Austin are spectacular! Guides will position you perfectly to witness the nightly departure of the largest urban bat colony in the world. They will share the history of the bat colony and other local landmarks, all while enjoying the sunset. After observing the bats for a while, everyone paddles back to the dock. The trip lasts 2.5-3 hours, depending on the bats!
- Austin - One of the highlights, aside from the bats, is viewing the downtown skyline from the water. On the paddle out, enjoy the setting sun and the various hues it casts on the ever-growing skyline. After the bats take flight and you paddle back to the dock, marvel at the buildings illuminated against the water.

I'll Never Forget Austin Bats! - Austin traffic & TxDoT construction had me totally stressed when I finally arrived for my evening kayak trip, but staff quickly put my friend and I at ease. This is a relaxing, safe, and very enjoyable experience, suitable for all skill levels. Everyone was friendly, and the Austin skyline is beautiful. Even in November there were still plenty of bats to see, temperature was perfect, and our guide knew everything there was to know about bats!

Perfect for a Troop when all you want to do is kayak and watch bats! - We took a Scout Troop (7 teenage girls and 3 leaders) on this adventure and we all had a great time. The guides (John and Dave) are fantastic and we loved that our kayaking group got to paddle the farthest--I believe it was 3 miles round trip. The only issue we had was what happened when ALL kayaking tours try to paddle away from the bat viewing/bridge at the same time. That created a complete traffic jam. We don't fault the vendor for this--seriously the other groups should be more courteous as some literally dart across the river as everyone else is going down stream. That's just something to prepare for. We didn't go anywhere fast, and our group got completely separated until we were the only ones left on the water. But, we loved that we were able to paddle farther away from the bridge after watching the bats fly out--becoming the only ones left on the water. This vendor is simple and fun--no fancy kayak or bright lights on the backs of the kayak--all of that was just distracting. These kayaks don't have that and we loved it. From our perspective, this vendor does it best. No pomp, just good ol' kayaking, and that's exactly what our Troop wanted. Bonus: The downtown lights are pretty cool as you kayak by!

A memorable experience in Austin. - This was a wonderful experience.
The guides were very friendly and gave really helpful kayaking tips.
I loved every minute.

Amazing bats - A great evening with a very knowledgeable guide John. He took us to the best place to see the bats which was not where everyone else was, so we had the area to ourselves. Nothing was rushed and he let us chose the pace of the trip.
All in all a great night.

Great Experience - We visited Austin to drop-off our son at UT. Whilst there we booked the Bat Kayak tour based on the trip Advisor reviews - it did not disappoint. Parking & check-in was easy, and our guide John was great filling to tour with fun facts. Paddling on the lake was easy & relaxing. All in all, it was a great experience

Clearly the best kayak bat tour - Knowledgeable guide, spectacular views of bats. My wife and I liked putting in at a private dock and getting more time on the lake than the other tours.

Loved the Experience - The views of Austin were amazing from Lady Bird Lake. We rented some paddle boards and had a great time on them! The staff was amazing - friendly and knowledgeable.
