- Pennybacker Bridge - This steel arched bridge, constructed in 1982, is a famous Austin landmark. Spanning 1,150 feet across Lake Austin, it connects the North and South sections of the Capital of Texas Highway. The bridge’s arched design was specifically created to avoid support columns that could interfere with water skiers, wake surfers, and boaters on the 22 miles of water below.

- The Contemporary Austin - Laguna Gloria - This Italian-style lakeside villa, built in 1916, was once home to Clara Driscoll, a philanthropist instrumental in preserving the Alamo. Today, the 14-acre site houses The Contemporary Austin, featuring an outdoor sculpture park, the Laguna Gloria art museum, and an art school.
- Tom Miller Dam - Named after a former Mayor of Austin, this dam began operation in 1940. It was built for flood control and hydroelectric power generation. Lake Austin lies on its upstream side, while Lady Bird Lake is on its downstream side, both reservoirs resulting from the dam’s construction.
