Great day-long excursion - This was a great day-long excursion. Our tour guide Mike was very knowledgeable and friendly. He even let me and the other person on the tour make an extra 30-minute stop to have a drink at a historic bar on the Riverwalk. We packed at lot in during the 8 hours this trip lasted. I'd highly recommend it. The only thing to note is that there is no mealtime scheduled, so bring snacks or grab something at the Buc-ee's stop.

Great Day! - What an a great day. Our guides Mike and his trainee Phil made the whole tour feel super relaxed and fun—it ended up just being us, so it was like a private adventure. We hit all the highlights: Buc-ee’s in New Braunfels (a Texas must!), Mission San José, The Alamo, a Riverwalk boat cruise, and the Tower of the Americas. Lunch at La Gloria was delicious and a perfect break, shrimp cocktails and tostada's. Mike and Phil were friendly, easy to chat with, and kept everything fun. Admission to the Riverwalk boat tour and other exhibits was all included. Highly recommend this tour if you want a day full of history, good food, and a little Texas magic!

Fun and Informative - I decided to take this tour because of the reviews and because I thought it would be easier logistically to have a local drive us around. Our guides, Rob and Mike, were on-time and very knowledgeable about Austin and San Antonio. Since the tour only included my group, it was intimate and allowed us to get to know our guides. This was our first time in Austin and San Antonio so we really enjoyed each stop on this tour. The itinerary allows you to experience important historical sites at a relaxed pace. We had time to take pictures and explore a little. We really appreciated that Mike and Rob kept the van cool after each stop because it was 100 degrees the day of our tour. Big THANK You 😊 for our unexpected mango treat.

Absolutely Great Small /Private Tour of San Antonio Fantastic Tour Guide John, Well Organized Hassle Free & Reasonable $ - Wonderful small group tour that ended up being a private tour for us. Spacious clean Mercedes tour van. Tickets for everything included, no waiting in line for anything, all very well organized. Ride back was smooth. Communication was too notch. Hotel Pick Up & Drop off. John C. our driver and guide was extremely engaging and knew all sorts of Texas history (being a teacher and all among his many other careers) Full of facts and so funny. Loved stopping at Buc-ees for restroom break & breakfast sandwiches. Mission San Jose was a great first stop to get the history of the missions purpose, layout, what happened there & restoration efforts during Great Depression. Great background context to the Alamo. It’s the best preserved mission in Texas. Then we went to the Alamo which was great for historical purpose but the land around it was comedically developed so didn’t have that historic context or vibe we got from the mission we just came from. Glad we did the mission first to understand the Alamo. John knew so much and conveyed background which prepared us. The Alamo was wonderful to see and yes it was a little rushed. We saw the church and watched the videos to explain further what happened there. Do wish we had John or a guide to take us around the Alamo to explain or point out things but it’s a state park so non official park guides are not permitted Then we did the Riverwalk which we loved. 1/2hr cruise along the canal in San Antonio. Tour guide on the boat was great and humorous. n to the tour and helped provide more context to the Alamo. We were underwhelmed by the Tower of the Americas. I guess it’s the only other thing in San Antonio. Overall it was an excellent tour of San Antonio. John knew all the best spots for photos. John was so interesting and made the tour awesome. He was always on time, met us as we finished our tours, communication was excellent. Consciousness and great tour guide. If they substituted the Tower of America with perhaps some free time in San Antonio to walk around by ourself & have lunch perhaps, it would have been absolutely perfect tour. all in all, it was perfect day trip outing and we were so happy to have taken this trip with John at Tripshepherd See-Sight Tours of Austin. No worries hassle free tour - best way to vacation. Highly recommend this tour to San Antonio from visiting Austin.

Remember the Alamo - Alamo, Riverwalk boat ride and even Buc-ee’s! Although climbing up the bell tower at the Mission was our highlight! Excellent day trip excursion to San Antonio while in Austin for business. This combination of history, culture, and sightseeing made for the perfect day. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting San Antonio! Mike was great and very thoughtful. The mango Italian ice sprinkled with tajin was nothing I would have ordered on my own, but honestly was amazing after the hot boat ride.
