Fast, Safe & Fantastic Express Trip with Captain Adam 🚤⭐ - I had a wonderful experience using this boat service with CAPTAIN ADAM ⚓. From the moment we arrived, everything was well organized and smooth 😊. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure all passengers felt comfortable and safe 🛟. Boarding was quick, and the boat was clean and well maintained ✨. The ride itself was calm and enjoyable, with beautiful views along the way 🌅. It was a relaxing journey that allowed me to fully enjoy the surroundings without any stress 😌. Overall, this boat service with CAPTAIN ADAM provided a simple, pleasant, and reliable experience. I would definitely recommend it 👍.

Had an amazing experience - Had an amazing time on the boat! The boat was clean, spacious, and perfect for our group. The views were beautiful, especially cruising under the bridge. Captain Adam was fantastic — very friendly, professional, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this trip!

Book the cruise! - My aunt and uncle were visiting Austin for the first time, and we found Austin Boat Adventure online as a fun way to show them the city. We couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Shane, our captain, was fantastic. He took us on a stunning cruise along Lake Austin, complete with a stop at Hula Hut for drinks and a quick break.
Shane shared great insights about the lakefront neighborhoods and gave us an unforgettable sunset ride. The music was perfect, the vibes were great, and the whole experience was a 10/10.

Mostly good but… - I booked this trip due to its 5 star reviews, and as much as I want to keep things positive, I would like to share my experience. We booked to 2 hour sunset cruise, and directions to the “dock” were fine. There was a wooden booth as mentioned in the description, but it was closed (a bit confusing) so we saved our $5 entrance fee.
Upon arrival to water’s edge, there was no signage to indicate where to meet, and as there were several similar boats in and out of the water it was unclear which one would be ours. Several groups of people awkwardly milled around and moments before our departure time of 6pm, a boat full of passengers pulled up and unloaded. We figured this must be ours so we walked towards it and the captain (Shane) had our names. One of our party overheard him quietly say something about one hour to someone else and 2 hours to us.
I had previously texted asking if we could swim and he replied maybe, after the half way point. The ride itself was pleasant-a beautiful spring evening. He shared some things about what we were passing but mostly had music playing (great playlist Shane!). He answered some questions from others but was mostly quiet.
We went up (down?) the river for 30 minutes then back towards where we started. I suddenly realized that he was going to drop off some of the passengers and then continue the trip for another hour. I wasn’t sure if we were going to go back the same way or not, but at that point we were getting hungry and decided to cut our trip short. He was very gracious about it and because we would have been the only people on the boat, probably happy to get off work early. We still paid him the full 20% tip based on the 2 hour trip price.
All in all it was an okay experience but he definitely could have been more engaging (maybe tired after a long day) and I guess the thing I most disliked was not knowing that we were the only ones booked for the 2 hours. There should definitely be signage of some sort indicating exactly where to wait, and in my opinion at least a 15 minute buffer between groups.

Disappointed! - The advertised 2-hour sunset boat cruise turned out to be only a 1-hour trip (exactly one hour), and there was no sunset involved. The weather was nice, but overall it felt too expensive for what was offered, and I was disappointed because the experience did not match the expectations set in the description.
We also received an email shortly before the 4:00 pm meeting time informing us that a 20% gratuity fee plus an additional $10 fee ($5 per person, not per vehicle) would be due, which was not clearly communicated in advance.
