Great informative tour - We had Laura as our tour guide., she was great! Lots of information was shared, learned & saw new beautiful sights we would have never seen had we rented a golf cart & went off by ourselves. Would recommend this tour for the views alone!

Excellent Tour - This tour was great! It was a great way to kick off our vacation and familiarize ourselves with Catalina Island. Our guide, Andrew was informative, fun, and entertaining! He was very kind as well. My husband and I were worried about the bumpy roads, since I'm pregnant, so Andrew took special care to go slow. I highly recommend this tour!

Discover Avalon scenic tour - It was a great scenic tour! It gets filled real quick so book ahead of time. Meeting area is easy to find. Our tour guide Joy was excellent! A good tour for first timers as it gives an overview & highlights significant areas of the island.

Catalina island - Catalina island was a perfect addition to our vacation in Southern California. We just visited for a few hours so we spent most of our time in Avalon. We took a bus tour of Avalon and the surrounding area and were quite impressed with our tour guide whose family has lived on the island for 8 generations. We definitely recommend renting a golf cart if you want to explore the island, which is quite hilly. Also, check before you go to make sure that you will be able to visit the Catalina Casino.

Good introduction to the island - We learned a lot about the island’s history, people, and place. Andrew, our guide, was funny and entertaining. I highly recommend it for first timers so you can view the island, take great scenic pictures, and know which places to explore after the tour.

I wouldn't come back. - Nothing out of the ordinary or enough to return, waters like all over the Caribbean, much to see and if you would return to Saône, Turquoise waters. I do not recommend the tour

Beware of hidden costs of ferry to go to Catalina Island. Viator doesn't tell you. - When I booked this trip to Catalina Island with Viator I was not told that it cost a whopping $332 for four people to take a round trip ferry to get to Catalina Island and back for a 50-minute tour that costs just $124 for four people. That would have added hundreds of dollars to our one-day trip (afternoon only because we weren't spending the night). Why didn't Viator tell us about this cost? When I called to request a refund they told me it was too late. I learned of the $83 per person cost of the ferry the day before. I called Viator and they refused to refund our money. I would really beware of Viator tours at this point. There are obviously hidden costs to these tours that the public is not being told about. We will never use them again. We just wasted $124 for nothing and I'm so angry that Viator refused to refund our money. It would be really easy for them to inform us of the costs of those ferries. But that would cut into their business model, no doubt.
