Haunted Catalina Island - As a lot of history associated with Catalina Island, our guide was very informative. Although as a suggestion, she cannot carry a book cause she kept hitting it, and it was echoing in the earphones, but I’m very impressed that she remembered every detail year , person, detail. Also, it would’ve been nice if she wore her tire that would’ve made it a little bit more exciting. It may be practice, not saying nobody asked for my critique, but I think she did a great job.

Loved - Jess was very knowledgeable and friendly. She looked out for the younger participants and made sure everyone was engaged and involved.

Very fun! - This was a very fun experience! Our guide was great and very accommodating to the group. It was really cool to walk around the island and hear tales of the past and even stories as recent as within years about ghostly happenings. I would recommend this tour. Also really enjoyed the audio setup.

Be ready to channel Norma Jean - Not recommended for children- some gnarly real stories and fascinating historical reference regarding the island timelines. The ghosts are not scary but some of the gore is daunting. It’s a great stroll around Avalon.

Spooky Good Time! - My husband and I knew we were likely only going to stay on Catalina one time only. So we took the opportunity to do this ghost tour. My husband is not a believer. Which is fine. He goes along with these things because he knows it interests me, and he ends up finding history interesting too because it’s not all spooky and occult. They tell you a lot about how the island started with all the darkness mixed in. The tour runner and business owner Jess is very knowledgeable. The kind of person that has stories for days because they talk to everyone and have taken the opportunity to experience and be open to everything this life/world has to offer. I love these types of people when you meet them. The authentic and eccentric salt of the earth. Jess walks the group from the ghost tour store front to casino point while telling you the macabre dark history of the structures and events of the island. I found it very informative and interesting. I enjoyed myself very much. A small price to pay for a little spooky tour. If you like these types of attractions or just enjoy a good historical walk, I think it’s well worth your time and money. Bonus- She asks you where you are staying on the island and tells you the ghost story attached if you want to hear. If there is not any or she does not know any. She won’t make one up. She is honest. I told her I knew the moment I walked into our hotel there was something there. Said the name of the hotel and she pointed at the shelf the book was on that the information was in if I wanted to read it. Of course I did. It was a very fun time!

Excellent - John is very accommodating and always try to answers all questions as much as you can. The stories that he was selling are all totally creepy… it always gives me a goosebumps…

Walking tour - This is a combo of spooky stories from current and past. I was hoping to learn more about the history of Catalina island, the guide was lovely and very sweet. Something to do on a quiet night if you’re not into the bars
