This Phoenician city, where a triad of deities was worshipped, was known as Heliopolis during the Hellenistic period. It retained its religious function during Roman times, when the sanctuary of the Heliopolitan Jupiter attracted thousands of pilgrims. Baalbek, with its colossal structures, is one of the finest examples of Imperial Roman architecture at its apogee.

Great tour and experience with Lebanon Tours and Travel. - We had the best time with Hassane and the small group (of two others) that we joined. Everything on the trip was great, starting from our hotel pickup in the AC van. We had great guides at Baalbek and Anjar and never felt rushed. The lunch was delicious too. I would not hesitate to book another tour with this company! Thanks for the great experience! We also used the same sister company for transit to Damascus which I highly recommend as well.

Absolutelt wonderful experience! - I joined this tour and couldn’t have asked for a better day. Our guide, Hassan, and our driver, Ahmed, were both incredibly kind, cheerful, and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions with genuine warmth and made the whole experience so enjoyable.
We explored the impressive sites of Anjar and Baalbek together, with Hassan giving us detailed and engaging explanations throughout. After that, we enjoyed a delicious traditional Lebanese lunch that was truly a highlight.
The tour ended with a short visit and wine tasting at the Ksara winery – a perfect way to wrap up the day. Everything was well-organized, relaxed, and full of local charm. Highly recommended – thank you for such a memorable day!

Magnificent places and perfect tour / Anjar, Baalbek and Ksara Winery - We joined the Anjar, Baalbek and Ksara Winery tour. They picked us up from our hotel at the exact time they said in the morning and dropped us off after the tour. We traveled in a very comfortable and comfortable vehicle. Considering the crazy Beirut traffic, we had a very successful driver, many thanks to Ahmad. We would also like to thank our respectful and sincere tour guide Hassan, who gave us sociological and historical information along the way and showed us 3 magnificent places. A very good and reliable tour company, I recommend it to everyone

Great tour - We had a great trip. It was an extremely safe and friendly trip to Baalbek and Anjar. Our trip, led by Ahmet and Hasan on a comfortable vehicle, ended with a delicious lunch and a visit to the Ksara wine cellar. I recommend everyone...

Amazing Baalbek - I traveled to Balbaak on May 2025. The tour with Hassan was amazing. He has a lot of experience and knowledge. Lunch is amazing on this tours as so are the views of the valley. What I did not like was that the local guide in Balbaak does not leave you time to make your photos. He seemed to be in a hurry to get another group.
