Great day in Costa Maya - We really enjoyed our time at Bacalar Lagoon. Everything flowed smoothly, with enough time to swim, relax, and enjoy the scenery without feeling rushed. The attention from the team made a big difference. Our guide Iván was knowledgeable and professional, and our driver UBO did a great job throughout the day. The staff at the restaurant and the crew on the catamaran were friendly and attentive, which added a lot to the overall experience. Out of all the excursions we did during our cruise, this was definitely the best one.

Nice choice in Costa Maya - We had a great experience with Jhoana Zamudio. We found her easily with the directions send from Get Your Guide. She was kind, welcoming, and fun. Jhoana was engaging and flexible with our group. She brought us snacks and drinks, which my children really enjoyed.
The lagoon was pretty. We all enjoyed swimming in the clear, fresh water. The sand and shells were so unique.
The drive was about an hour and a half both ways, but looking around the port and the town, I feel like this was a good choice for the port.
The only thing I had expected, but did not experience was more of a boat tour of the lagoon. It would be fun to see more of the area. We liked swimming though, so maybe it was a good trade off of time.

highly recommend!!!:) - our tour guide was amazing and we learned so much history about the areas we visited! breathtaking views on the boat and the ruins were very interesting to see in person! Highly recommend this company :)

The trip is a bit long to... - The trip is a bit long to get to the lagoon, but after arrival, everything was great. Johanna was a great guide and our boat driver was great. Lagoon is very beautiful. Better snorkeling would have been nice...but they don't have in the lagoon.

Lousy irresponsible! They left us waiting an hour and a half! We have the pictures and videos of everything! Too bad! - Really lousy, I knew irresponsible in the collection took more than an hour and a half. And aside when you write them an opinion they answer things that are not reality and the truth what disappointment they made us lose one day and killed us with a shorter time when they were a longer time. Apart from not leaving us the remaining time to get to know the area more since they arrived late and supposedly because they had other people, however it has to have a logistics for when someone fails to be able to make concrete decisions

Canceled Last Minute - The tour company canceled my excursion less than 24 hours in advance. They stated they did not get the minimum of 6 participants to run the tour. I do not recall seeing that requirement anywhere in the listing.
I was on a cruise and I do not typically buy the wifi. I checked my email as soon as I got off the ship and connected to the wifi in the cruise port.
Miraculously, I was able to catch a cruise sponsored excursion moments before they departed. If I had not moved with such haste, my entire day in port would have been ruined.
I do not object to minimum participant requirements, but I feel 48 hours notice should be given. I did have wifi in my previous port and would have seen the email if one had been sent.

COSTAMAYA Trip Ruined. TourOperator Balcalar Experances non Existent. - Tour Guide did not show up. Waited 1:00 Hour Plus and asked around all other Tour Operators and Taxis and no one new this Company Bacalar Experiences. Meeting Place was DeliSuper and they did not now the Pick Up Person and confirmed they were not there.

Viator completely useless, wasted a vacation day - The guide did not show up, we were left waiting in a dusty parking lot for over 2 hours. Could not get any other tour. Lost one entire day of vacation. Viator support was useless, they just kept saying “unfortunately”. Waiting for compensation before escalating this to a higher level. This was a tour recommended by Viator agent the night before, who assured us we would be picked up and have a great time. Anything for a sale.
