• Seriki Faremi Williams Abass Slave Museum, Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria - The first point of call is the William Seriki Abass Slave Baracoon where you will pick up the history of slavery in Nigeria including the small rooms where a hundred of slaves were kept and also find out the batter prices for slaves. Aside seeing some of the relics of the slave era, you will as well visit the resting place of the Williams Seriki Abass, one of the great players during the slave era.

The narrative of over 400 years of slavery is incomplete without visiting the historic slave port. This exclusive tour allows participants to explore the former slave quarters and view the preserved artifacts at the Slave Museums. It provides a unique opportunity to gain a firsthand understanding of the events and processes that occurred during the slave trade era. Many individuals, now recognized as Black Americans, have traced their ancestry back to Africa to discover and document their own stories.

The tour includes a boat journey to the Point of No Return (Gberefu Island), the route through which slaves were transported to ships bound for foreign lands. During the tour, there will be a brief stop at the ‘Attenuation Well,’ where slaves were forced to drink magical waters that made them forget their identities. Additionally, there will be a pause at the beachfront of the Point of No Return for some rest and contemplation.
