Established in the 4th century, the monastery is the final resting place of St. Nino, the Cappadocian woman from the Roman Empire who introduced Christianity to Georgia.
Encircled by tall cypress trees and offering sweeping views of the valley, Bodbe Monastery is a serene place for prayer, reflection, and spiritual retreat. It is one of the most popular and frequently visited monasteries in Georgia.

Signagi - Just 10 minutes away is the next stop – the romantic town of Sighnaghi, also known as the “City of Love.” Situated on a hilltop, Sighnaghi is renowned for its cobblestone streets, colorful balconies, and stunning views.
One of the town’s most notable features is the Great Wall of Sighnaghi, often called the “Georgian Great Wall.” Constructed in the 18th century by King Erekle II to defend the area from invasions, the wall extends over 4 kilometers and includes 28 watchtowers—each named after local villages. A stroll along the wall offers unforgettable views of the Alazani Valley and the distant Caucasus Mountains.
Visitors will have free time to explore the charming streets, take photos, shop for handmade souvenirs, and enjoy a delicious lunch at a traditional restaurant (optional). - Kvareli - After about 1 hour, they will arrive in the small town of Kvareli to visit one of Georgia’s oldest wineries — Corporation Kindzmarauli, which historically belonged to the Georgian royal family.
This winery maintains Georgia’s 8,000-year-old winemaking traditions. During the visit, guests will learn how wine and chacha are produced, see traditional clay vessels (qvevri), and enjoy a tasting of local wines.
The guided tour covers all stages of the winemaking process, where traditional methods blend with modern technology, including the wine bottling section.
Among all wineries in Kakheti, Corporation Kindzmarauli is the only one offering such a comprehensive and engaging experience, lasting nearly one hour and concluding with a wine tasting.
