Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Explore the remnants of the temple of Ptah, the fallen colossal statue of King Ramses II, and the Alabaster Sphinx of King Amenophis II. Just a short drive from Memphis, you’ll find the ancient cemetery of Sakkara.

The Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the world’s first monumental stone building, was constructed by the engineer Imhotep nearly 5,000 years ago and still stands today. After touring the complex, continue to one of the nearby Mastabas (tombs), such as those of Ptah-Hotep, Mereruca, Idut, or Ti, for an interior visit.

Pyramids of Giza - Next, head to the Giza Plateau, home to the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World, the majestic Pyramids of Giza.

During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to capture unique photos of the three Pyramids from the Western Plateau. Proceed down the valley where the Mighty Sphinx, the guardian of this mortuary complex, silently witnesses the passage of time.

A brief stop will be made at a Papyrus Institute, where the ancient Egyptian art of paper making from reeds will be demonstrated.

Mosque of Ibn Tulun - The Ibn Tulun Mosque, completed in 878 AD by Al Amir Ahmed Ibn Tulun, founder of the Tulunid dynasty, is one of the largest mosques in Islamic Cairo. Its open central courtyard measures 92×91 meters and is surrounded by an open corridor. The mosque is renowned for its rich gypsum ornaments and engravings. Its minaret features a unique external staircase winding from the ground to the top.
