Step Pyramid of Djoser - Day 1: Dahab/Giza Sightseeing Tours
The operator will arrange for a representative to pick guests up from their hotel in Dahab and transfer them to Sharm Airport for a flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, a tour guide will accompany them to explore Sakkara, a vast necropolis of the ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis. Here, visitors can marvel at the renowned Step Pyramid of Djoser, also known as the Step Tomb due to its rectangular base, along with several mastabas, the Teti Pyramid, and various tombs. The tour continues with a transfer to Memphis to see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the nearby partially buried Hathor Temple. Guests will then discover one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the magnificent Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus, as well as the Sphinx, which features a pharaoh’s head and a lion’s body. This iconic statue is one of the world’s largest and oldest, dating back to King Chephren’s reign. The tour also includes the Valley Temple of the Pyramid of Chephren. Lunch will be provided at a high-quality local restaurant. Later, guests will be transferred to their hotel for check-in, with free time to relax, and an overnight stay in Cairo.
Cairo Sightseeing Tours/Return to Dahab
Coptic Cairo - After breakfast, guests will be guided by a qualified English-speaking guide to visit the Egyptian Museum, renowned for its artifacts from Egypt’s Pharaonic period, which spans approximately 50 centuries. The tour proceeds to one of Cairo’s most famous attractions, the Citadel of Saladin and the Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque, designed in the true Ottoman style and inspired by the Yeni Mosque in Istanbul. The tour continues with a visit to Coptic Cairo to explore the most famous and oldest Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt. Guests will then drive to Islamic Cairo to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s historic bazaar. Finally, they will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for a flight back to Sharm El Sheikh, followed by a transfer back to their hotel in Dahab, with an overnight stay in Dahab.
