A must Do class - Did this class with my spouse and our son. First our driver was amazing he was pleasant and even made a stop at our request. He answered any questions we had about local culture. The class was amazing the teacher putri was a delight, she showed us every step and and made sure we tried things along the way to ensure they fit our taste buds. She didn’t rush us. It’s a family run business and they all are friendly and sweet. I highly recommend. You cook 6 dishes and it’s a lot of food no way to leave hungry. The food is amazing. They even show you their personal home. It’s the most personal amazing experience. Do not miss out take this class so worth it.

Not only did the experience give insights on cooking Balinese food but also an insight into Balinese culture, homes and life etc. I took so much away from this experience and the people were so friendly / helpful and educational.

AMAZING COOKING CLASS - What a beautiful day. We started our day early with a visit to a food market, taste testing some different balinese fruits etc. Followed by a drive to Gusti's balinese house he shares with his family. The cooking class was a highlight of our day, and it didn't disappoint. So much fun and a lovely tasty meal to follow. Thankyou Gusti, Ron and all the other ladies on the day, for a fantastic experience.
After our cooking class, Gusti took us to Swing Heaven, then back to our hotel in Seminyak.
What an awesome day. Highly recommended.

Amazing - It was an absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience, I 100% recommend it!!!!
In the morning, we were picked up by a taxi (a very nice car) and taken to the Ubud market. The market is very different from the rest of Ubud (at least at 7:30 am) because during the 30 minutes we spent there, we didn't encounter any other tourists, which made the experience truly authentic. Our guide/chef, Ron, was truly lovely; he showed us around the entire market and let us taste the various local fruits. We were then taken to "Bali's House." Ron first showed us around the place, which is the real home of the Balinese, unlike tourist hotels. He told us about how these houses work, who lives there, and so on, always with a smile, humor, and kindness, adding personal stories that really helped us understand how the Balinese live. We then headed to the kitchen, which is located in an idyllic setting. All the ingredients are local and raw, making the cuisine authentic. For two hours, we cooked many delicious dishes, including a dessert. Ron showed us everything and explained everything. Before we started, Ron was always there to give us advice with kindness, energy, and humor. The dishes were simply wonderful, and it was almost impossible for us to believe we had made such a meal. We then savored all these delicious dishes and chatted for a long time with Ron, who was truly lovely!
I 100% recommend it, whether for food lovers or simply the curious!

An experience not to be missed! - Must do during your stay in Ubud! Ron first welcomed us to the market, he showed us around, gave lots of explanations and we could taste donuts or exotic fruits that we did not know. We then had coffee with him in a typical Balinese house where he took the time to explain the organization of these houses and the Balinese family culture. And besides he is very nice and very funny, which does not spoil anything. Then the cooking class started and we cooked for 2 hours: the result was excellent (5 courses and dessert). One of the best activities of our stay!

Authentic Balinese Cooking Experience - My wife and I had such an amazing evening with Gusti and the Authentic Balinese Cooking Class! We were picked up on time and brought to the place where we would learn how to cook Balinese style. First we toured the family home and then got right to cooking. This was such a fun and informative class. From the moment we walked through the spice and fruit garden to the minute we sat down to eat we learned so much and are so grateful we took this class
We would highly recommend this class for anyone interested in authentic Balinese cooking. You will love satisfied and definitely full!

Fun morning with hands on cooking - " Warning: Lesung Bali's cooking class may cause excessive laughter, spontaneous singing, and a sudden urge to cook Indonesian food for all your friends back home.
After being whisked away from our villa, we embarked on a culinary adventure that started at a local market, where we discovered the secret to making locals' eyes light up: exotic fruits!
Next, we visited a local Balinese home, where We fueled up on tea, coffee, and sweet treats.
The pièce de résistance was our cooking class with the inimitable "Master" Chef Ron, who's equal parts culinary wizard, stand-up comedian, and wannabe singer. Whether you're a kitchen newbie or a seasoned pro, Ron's infectious energy and patience made the experience a blast for all.
In the cozy garden (soon to be a full-fledged farm-to-table extravaganza!), we got our hands dirty, learned about mysterious ingredients, and cooked up a storm. The best part? Customizing our dishes to our taste buds' delight (hello, extra chilis).
When we weren't chopping, sautéing, or devouring our creations, Ron kept us entertained with jokes, Indonesian cultural facts and even a sing-along or two. We left with stuffed bellies, huge smiles, and a newfound appreciation for Indonesian cuisine.
In a sea of cooking classes, Lesung Bali stands out like a perfectly balanced satay stick. Book it, and thank us later!"
