Setting Sail on a Bahamian Adventure

The Exuma Cays have always been on my radar, and when I heard about the Exuma Cays Tour that promised encounters with swimming pigs and nurse sharks, I knew it was time to dive in. The day began with a sense of excitement as we boarded a sleek luxury powerboat, ready to explore the vibrant waters of the Bahamas. Next, we made our way to Compass Cay Marina, where the nurse sharks awaited. Swimming with these gentle giants had been a long-standing item on my bucket list, and the experience did not disappoint. After a morning of exploration, we headed to the Staniel Cay Yacht Club for a much-needed lunch. The food was unexpectedly delightful, with a menu that catered to all tastes. Sitting at our own table, we enjoyed a leisurely meal, soaking in the laid-back island atmosphere.

The final leg of our journey took us to a stunning sandbar, where we had the chance to unwind and search for shells and sand dollars. The tranquility of the location was the perfect way to end the day, offering a moment of reflection on the incredible experiences we had shared.

As we made our way back, the crew’s attentiveness and knowledge of the area shone through. They ensured we had ample time at each stop, avoiding the crowds and making us feel like we had the islands to ourselves.
